the Suspension is from FastAce and its Showa clone... rebound and comp on rear and front... had the same bike as a 250.... it was great ! 4500 trouble free miles. When you get it, take the plastics off check all the cable routing and correct if necessary, tighten all bolts again and check an re-tighten the spokes and it will be a very good reliable bike... the problem is the dealers dont do anything and give the customer a non checked bike and most of the customers also doesn't recheck anything because they ride it instantly... that's why spokes break and things like that..... i'v put a Mikuni TM36 Carb on mine (250cc) which gave her alot more power, on the 450 you should put a TM40 which should give her around 50hp

Bse, kayo, ssr is the relationship yes they are built here but parts are imported from suppliers of kayo zongshen and Bouser others and imported to the ssr,kayo, bse usa location ssr is in cali kayo in texas and bse in canada we dont see them but they did or still exist in many other parts of the world.. The designs are from yes a china man that was a Honda tech raised in the industry.. Kayo being the premier dealer.. if you siri or ask google kayo and ssr that info is wikipedia and tells you back story and that dude that started it all.. i dont think gpx or trailmaster or syx or kovi or a few others have any involvement in the group.. there bikes use similar and same parts from same suppliers but are mostly imported whole bike to usa not built here or modified by mojo or bouser.. if you have a ssr189 the inside of shifter says mojo also which mojo is a BSE brand of motors built by their manufacture and they make a stout 250cc like 25hp air cooled "mojo" badged (Honda cb250 replica) with slanted valve cover to mainly fit the (. medium chassis for bse j10 and z10 model mx and enduro spec.. which from my research the bse j10 and z10 main frame is same as ssr189 and kayo 230 model bike.. The main frame manufacture unknown but judging by the machining near the axle bolt and brake stay area theres slash/back cut outs that are identical.. The 250 300 450 and new enduro model are replicated from x model hondas and most parts match one to other.. minus 300 obviously thats a 250 with bse engine or zongshen engine.. the new enduro i havent checked out much but it looks like a 150 or 190L but the ssr has larger cc with comparable specs, Its a larger cc engine from still a cb250 air cooled from zong also.. honda mase the new xr150L carbed with tiny carb and xr190L is fuel injected.. might be a mojo type build or just zongshen but its def a cb250.. they seem to use alot of cb250 stuff even sprockets on most model are sized and tooth same from cb250..for good reason, that its a very popular model motorcycle over in china and many island and pacific, other countries outside usa where them older hondas are just replicated over and over.. so parts are available for them.. The group of companies have def made a name for themselves in the us market.. like Piranha and syx and kayo and trailmaster have.. They def need better quality parts, they cut corners in some areas like materials used for pegs, levers, and such are said to be alloy but there more like concrete and break easy, bolts strip easy like 1 time use, ull be chasing new threads alot.. the carbs are usually inferior to a good race bike that uses a flat pumper carb like fcr type keihin or mikuni made for 4 strokes.. they use cheap throttle tubes and cables and cdi boxes, cheaper bearings and almost everything is recycled grade.. but cost is cost and aftermarket is there if tou know how to parts research.. instead of ssr specific you gotta do 22mm bars, 22mm levers universal, or pegs and such are just universal fitment from another model bike, upgrade carb to a nibbi or oem model 32 36 38mm, exhaust you just measure the inlet mostly universal, pro circuit has a few models for unreasonable price to make it CA and State Land Legal being spark arrestor type.. but if tou spend a few hundo and address cables to motion pro, levers and shifters and scrap the fake alloy parts most models are rideable, i wouldnt go from showroom to trail or track without manu upgrades to everything possible and then id prob Still change the engines to honda or swap in a prime affordable 2 stroke large bore build into the well prepped chassis.. then id send it.. most of them are underpowered compared to its replica or comparable model specs and need much better carb setup,fuel delivery, electrical, and spark addressed and then what you want to get more out of it isnt available.. u gotta know a guy that is a machinist to port, polish, grind cam or make new one, and that makes them useless in our market.. We Americans build everything durable and use certain brands made in usa or japan like Tokyo Mods, Yoshimura, Hot Cams and many others dont wanna spend the loot too make templates, or setup a lathe to make a cam for china bikes.. they know its a deaf end market that usually dies before it gets anywhere.. But i can say for ssr kayo and fea others that have been around in the us market long enough have gotten a slim market for aftermarket and is growing more now then ever for the staple brands of ssr kayo pitster trail master and kymco.. the real downside is dealers in usa have long wait times for these and dont wanna market them they just have too to stay in buisnes because the market for jap bikes has gotten expensive due to same importing issue with shipping and demand of parts to be made for them oem.. alot of new bikes have very long rain checks for replacement parts.. dealers dub the term "unavailable" "back order" 😂 no longer produced is becoming an issue on the good bikes of the late 90s and early 2k on most 2 strokes its getting stupid trying to find cranks and rods and just alot of parts not made anymore and if not able to get aftermarket or remachined or matched or niksealed its over for that bike unless u swap it newer model engine or parts.. only thing that saves both markets is "oem standards size" 7/8ths or 22mm ect sizes of standardness makes alot possible.. new levers and risers and fork tubes because standard mm tubes like 41mm ect.. so fitment which only requires few trips to grainger or a parts store for bearings woth proper o. D. And i. D fitment.. and bolt kits.. lord china bolts i swear are one time use😅😊😢😮 .. And 1 true savior beats them all amd thats NGK.. without a NGK plug nothing would be running proper.. they are true geniuses and the heart of powersports.. Hope yall had good read and thank you for the privilege of your time! 😂❤

The Chinese have come a long ways in quality. I believe there is a market for this kind of bike... not everyone needs the ultimate race ready bike, or can afford them. Watching you ride, the bike seems to have plenty of power (sounds strong). The new SSR 300 (2020) comes with CNC hubs, six speed transmission, so they improved on that aspect, already. I suggest that SSR form some race teams, keep improving their product (like adding fuel injection) and in a few years, they may be neck and neck with the other bikes? Thanks for the video 👍

Wanna REALLY liven the bike up and it run like you wouldn't believe? Take a carb off a 2004 Suzuki rmz250 and it'll supposedly go right on that SSR and it'll change everything on how it runs. I'll try and find the article I read and send it to you, not sure if I can find it but best I remember it was that year of carb and something about a gate slide carb..it wasn't a butterfly type carb like most..it was bone stock for Suzuki's and Kawasaki for quite a few years and dude went insane about how it brought the bike alive..I've had to work on jetting my boys bikes (stock)and I got one run'n good, the others has a idle issue..I tore it apart and cleaned the shit out of it and noticed the pump gas with alcohol is rough on them..so I started using 100% gas and it's running better but still acts up some times..for no more than they cost,ill probably buy a new one and go from there..the stock ones are mikunis..

Is anyone else's front forks noisy??

Do the 250 and 450 have a wide ratio transmission?
@wrightcycleworks5 жыл бұрын
I can't speak for the 450, I believe it has the same ratios as the 450X. The 250 is a Zongshen NC250 that is used in alot of different bikes. The SSR250 is a closer ratio 5 speed. Other bikes like the GPX FSE 250 and CSC RX3 use a wider ratio version. SSR does have the new 300 out which has a 6 speed tranny that's wide ratio. It's a big bore version of the 250 that if love to try out.
@sharifwilliams89045 жыл бұрын
