why the army dont use 6.5 grendel since it has terminal effectiveness of 7.62x39's and range of 7.62x51 NATO's at the half the recoil of 762 NATO and also compatible in AR15 platform. its far more advanced than 5.56 and 7.62x39 cartridge

In case of war if Indian ammo manufacturing facilities get hit by Chinese Air Force or rocket force , Indian army can get 7.62 ammo in large quantities from friendly countries but last I checked they all use 7.62 not the one u were talking about….usa has luxury of being separated by literally oceans from its enemies they can do such experiments….

@@SomeshNegi-n8b that's good in terms of sharing with friendly allied countries. Then all NATO std ammunition is better from 9mm to 50bmg, and 20×102, 25×137, 30×173 Cannon's. 120mm SMOOTHBORE in tank and 105mm Or 155mm In artillery std

SSS defense should approach CAPF and state armed police forces as they are using INSAS (Stone age rifle) and .303 rifle (WW2 category). Army always put their faith in foreign products rather than indigenous products. Army can choose INSAS but not SSS defense rifles. Such a irony !
