You gotta remember, too, that Henry wasn’t brought up from an affluent background. Guy worked his entire adult life in dead-end service industry jobs. He didn’t have the luxury of music producer family members or wealthy parents who could keep throwing money at his passion products until they finally caught fire. Even now that he can safely retire financially solvent for the rest of his life, he still makes quips about how often he puts himself out for speaking events, film roles, etc. because a paycheck is a paycheck. I think a lot of that work ethic he puts out, not just in the industry but in his daily life (staying fit, well-read, etc.) spawns from the realization that someone in his position only has to do just enough wrong to fall from grace. You have to stay sharp and relevant because if you leave yourself out to rust then that’s that.
