This holy priest is one of the 36 Doctors of the Church! He prayed for a good memory and so Almighty God gave him one: photographic memory! - the consecrated man memorized the entire library of Sacred Scriptures: Old and New Testaments... And yet his fervent, most pure love of God and His people wins hearts. St Anthony's humility is so profound & helpful to us ...that we still rely on him as ongoing "Custodian of the Heavenly Lost & Found."😊 Personally, this little old lady still turns to him several times a week - if not daily: to remember where misplaced things are, to petition aid in difficulties, to find answers to questions of research...to reunite with long-lost friends or relatives. He was born on the 15th of August - it is fitting that the Most Holy Queen confided first to him that her Assumption was of body as well as soul🙏❤️ Hence the Francicasns have long promoted the Assumption - and the Pope even quoted from St Anthony's writings when he proclaimed this Dogma.🙏👑

I'm so sorry your dog is missing! I am a dog lover, too, and my dog is very precious to me. But no matter what we want God to grant us, we always want to remember that the most perfect prayer is "Thy will be done." That's why it's in the Lord's Prayer. This is hard for us to accept -- that God's will might be different from our own -- but the only way to get through life is to trust that God always knows what's best. We tend to treat God and the saints like "vending machines" to spit out what we want ASAP. But that's not how it works.
