St Chads Terrace Demolition Blackpool: Friday Morning

We stayed in the Mayville hotel which was part of the St Chads building before it was taken over by the St Chads(if that makes sense) W had one of the best weekends we’ve ever had in Blackpool. What a shame to see it go. I know it getting replaced with a big shiny new hotel but it won’t have the same character and charm of that old building. Keep up the good work Stephen. Looks like the demolition at St Chad's hotel stopped when you stopped filming at 1pm Stephen. Got down there at around 4.15pm. The St Chad's Terrace name and 1891 date is still there when I left around 5.45 pm. Xxx

They are not wasting any time with the demolition - hope the new building is just as quick - the back streets of Blackpool are not the most scenic .

Huge part Blackpool bites the dust I feel they could hv kept the hotel intact and done the hotel up but was not to be so sad
