nice that you also got that nostalgic chime at 5:15

@@LokiAvivson indeed. Felt a bit wrong hearing it at St Erth though, as this station never had Ditra! Sounds great at Plymouth however

I'm pretty sure at 5:15 I heard the Irish Rail chime

That chime was always originally used in the UK through the Ditra announcements system, which then spread to Ireland when KeTech started doing their announcements.

Great video of announcements at St. Ives and getting the 'Lelant Saltings' which is now just 1 train a day. nice catch of the 4 tone Ditra Chime, I heard this at Truro station when I was there in August. I think someone might have decided to add that on some manual announcements possibly recorded it when FGW had Amey and good catch of the 1 train a day to Newquay as I caught that at Truro too. Are you doing Truro too?
@Parallel3953 ай бұрын
Thanks Jamie! Yes someone had probably downloaded the chime sound and put it at the start of the manual announcement. No plans to record at Truro yet but I’ve started with Penzance and now St Erth. Might get to Liskeard by 2050. 😂
