How do u play 2 home & away league games in 2 days though? Fatigue gonna affect the players' performance no?

Yeah , in US pro sports there is this extreme schedule and even higher number of games than in Europe. Only NFL is the exception. But MLS , MLB , NBA , NHL -- all have often times back-to-back games. I personally feel every team sport should look to keep annual games to 40 max. Makes every game more special. That would include ( in case of soccer ) : - domestic : league , playoffs , cup - continental cup ( like UCL ) + national team qualifiers ( also needs a reduction of games & quali system ) + national team tournament games ( should be no more than 7 , next WC in '26 is bloated unfortunately )
