Grew up on Anderson Ave. in the late 40's and 50's. I wish you would give street names or intersections on your journey, would make it a lot easier to follow since so many homes are either gone or burned.

Thats my old neighborhood in FairGrounds. My grandmother moved there in the early 70s. I was born in 82 & remember when the neighborhood had more people & businesses on every corner, we spent a lotof my childhood there riding bikes through out the place. It wasn't as bad as today. Came back to visit my mom house(she still stay here holding on). Just crazy how peoples changed up there especially these young peoples. I have dreams about my home city. Glad you like the neighborhood & be careful up there. Don't trust anyone

Oh I dont stay up there.. I stay on the southside.. I live a different life than I use to.. ill just say before, I spent to much time up there up to no good. Now I'm happy to say That is changed and I only go to those areas to film my videos. But the knowledge of the place never goes away.

Thanks for the ride!! I enjoyed that!! So sad that all that beautiful historic architecture has gone to seed! I love those mahogany brick two-story homes and duplexes. I wish I knew what that type of structure is called. Neither Victorian nor Queen Anne, I'm pretty sure ...🤔

Yes the architecture is great.. st.louis use to be famous for having some of the best brick masons in the world. They don't build em like that anymore.. would cost a fortune to replicate.

As a former St. Louisan, could there be easily accomplished an update of this video, which would show the viewer which street is being driven? I recognize many of the streets in this video, except it was sixty years ago when my grandparents lived in this area depicted.

I am from North St. Louis city and none of this looks remotely familiar. I lived at 25 th street and Newhouse and was all over the Northside as a teen, I feel like a stranger. How sad

I use to shoot a lot of dope up in that hood. Even though I was there for less than legal reasons, we never pulled or saw any crimes up that way, and I enjoyed the company of all my fellow dopers. Also, sounds like your shocks are completely shot.

You replace the people with white folks and restaurants, coffee shops etc would pop up like flowers. Why don't they start businesses? You don't need much money. Improve your areas it's not hard.
