Dealing with parents in their 80's. Step mom has dementia and is really losing it quickly despite many types of medications and doing activities like putting a simple puzzle together... now my father n law is losing his memory. It's so sad. We are having this test done for him today. We've watched lots of videos from this dr and he's really good at what he does. We appreciate his videos. Very educational as we know now what types of tests are available, what is asked etc. Thank you doctor.

I’m 45 and I could not remember not one word from that list - when he went back to ask a few minutes later. 😮 she did pretty good

I think he was designed by Weyland, he's the doctor model, a predecessor to David. very convincing as a human, with perfect synthetic responses. Tyrell would be jealous.

It is real, this doctor has loads of videos about it. He said patients give him consent to record. This way it can help other professionals conducting theses interviews the best possible way.

Don't you worry about clients learning the test by watching these videos?
@northnomad8 жыл бұрын
If they can remember the answers that is a pretty good indication that their memory isn't too bad. :-) That said there is some "learning effect" with these cognitive tests as they are frequently repeated over time to gauge stability/progression of disease. We try not to give them too close together to try an minimize this but it is still a shortcoming. The MOCA is a bit better in they at least have 3 versions of the test though all the validation studies were only done with the initial version.

I've been through this test a few years ago in chicago and I can promise you that these poor people cannot remember what they just heard, let alone something on a video.
@jessesmithson79413 жыл бұрын
Lmao. You're suggesting they cheat?
@SomethingWet2 жыл бұрын
The questions change (different numbers and words etc) but yeah if they remember it from the video and have the memory to cheat they're probably going to pass either way
@Moccsnosocks2 жыл бұрын
It's true but luckily most people HTG want to know whether they have impairment and aren't typically motivated to malinger on this testing.

my issue w the clock game.. who really says 10 minutes till 11 o'clock... say it like anyone would. it's 10:50
@sirgreedy883 жыл бұрын
Many people speak that way.
@nothing_yeah6753 жыл бұрын
They ask it that way to check a person's abstract thinking. Saying it as 10:50, as many people may, is much easier to know what time it is than "10 minutes till 11'oclock."

there is a Chicago in Nevada, one in California and one in Illinois. It's a trick question. Also, this more of a test of math, drawing and vocabulary skills that memory.
