My primary school and church is "st Mary Magdalene" celebrated her last weekend at school fundraiser; thanks for saying hello on another of your videos , I have been chaste and single a little like Mary , and U girls and Letter to Corinthians are so right being single makes (for some of us) easier to cling to holy family and our father , and basically concentrate on the Truth, thanks again ; going to visit my old head teacher Sister Raymonda just found out she is in retirement convent one mile from me

I'm 43 years old. My grandmother (most amazing person I knew) picked my confirmation name, Angelica. Since I just came back to the faith, I've been searching as to why my grandma wanted that name for me. I have a feeling it has something to do with Mother. I was confirmed in the late 90s. My entire life, even though I left the Church and God when my grandma passed horrifically in 1998, Mary Magdalene has surrounded me. In sin. In virtue. I can't explain it. I have a question, have you read the dead sea scrolls? I've been searching for more and more on both. Much love and prayers for you.

Amen! Praise be Jesus Christ now and forever! Thank you for sharing, Sisters. May Saint Mary Magdalene help inspire those to renounce sin and who want to grow in holiness and be an example of what it means to be a saint. God Bless!

I am currently reading the third volume of Warren Carroll's history of the Catholic Church. There are five and I have them all. Magdalene is in reference to the town she came from and it was so debauched apparently that the Romans thought about burning the place to the ground. Also the perfume that was poured on Jesus came from a flower and the only place in grew was in the high mountains of Nepal or maybe it was the mountains of India.

Is there a book on St. Mary Magdalene that has more info than what we know through Scripture. It looks like you are holding a book Sister. I would love to read more about her. She has been coming to me - particularly since my “conversion”/healing after my son’s suicide death. Thank you for your sweet and humble sharing and sisterly love.

So sorry about your son :( , RIP. Thank you for your encouragement. Yes, the book I was reading is linked below. Also, if you are open to reading Maria Valtorta's books: Poem of the Man-God, she has very inspiring sharing on Mary Magdalene. Why are you Sisters together, if you are Hermits? I know a reason Canonical as to why, can you explain to unbelievers?
@missionariesOME334 ай бұрын
Different hermits have different Rules and Horariums approved by their Bishops. If you study the Desert Fathers or Anchorites of the past, there are different callings within the call to the Eremitical life. Some lived a more extreme eremetical life alone, but even then they had at least one other who was also living a life of deep prayer and solitude, to guide and support them (at least at some point in their life). However the primary eremitical life in the early Church was Laura's of Hermits, so hermits wouldn't be totally in isolation; yet they still had a life much more set apart for solitude and prayer on their own; which was different than the Cenobitic (monastic) Communities which had much in common.: prayer, eating, recreation, etc. We live in a Laura. We live alone in our hermitages and have separate schedules of prayer, eating, etc, unlike religious communities. As well, the early hermits or anchorites were available for ministry with those who visited their desert area or their cell window (for anchorites). And, anchorites often had someone connected as a support.

@@missionariesOME33 I appreciate your explanation … I am aware of early desert Fathers tradition, and it wasn’t absolute isolation, otherwise how would we know of them.:) I hope you understood why I asked here, thank you
