I'm Eastern Orthodox and I love the "Little Flower". We have an icon of her in our home. No one could look into her innocent eyes and not see holiness. My wife had no idea who she was when I brought home her icon but was instantly drawn to her. She is truly one of the greatest saints of our times.

At an unexpected moment after my wife passed, I received this thought: "St Therese was right-the 'Little Way.' " I was certain these words were a gift to me from above....My Helen had been a beyond-giving person to others, even when it hurt her in spirit, even in body. These words penetrated me and let me know that *ALL the small words and deeds that we say and do Matter-in this world, >and in the next.* As painful as Helen's passing was, it also opened blessings and graces to me I'd have never received. St. Therese's example inspires... challenges...and gives hope too; if such a down-to-earth young woman can so grow in love for God >and even those most disagreeable

Thanks for this video. I love St. Thérèse and love those stories about her! She is my Confirmation Saint. I read her autobiography before I was Catholic and didn't even know how popular she was until much later. She definitely chose me.

This was very good. Gave me some more tips on how to work on my inner grumbler.. which is what I call those bitter thoughts that are nothing but petty things that do no good. One of the other things I am working on is ."Reverse Blessings." If I feel myself going into a grumbler moment. I take a step back and link the thing, situation or person to what I am grateful for. By the time I'm done listing, the grumbler is usually gone.

She is so beautiful! She is also MY FAVORITE female saint! My mother actually prayed to her and she received a rose after someone tried to accuse my grandparents of causing a man to slip and fall on ice on their property and he lost in court as he showed contempt. I have not really started reading about her until now years and years later and I never knew that she wrote her own play about Joan of Arc. She was Capricorn! I am Capricorn as well and let me tell you something about us, we will tell you like it is and we will deal with it internally 🙏🤺

I love your videos so much! I have been praying to her ever since I discovered that I have a green thumb. I also discovered back when I was 11 years old, so exactly 25 years ago, my mother said that she prayed to Therese As did the rest of my family and there was a court case being fought against my grandmother and grandfather because a man had slipped on some ice on their property and try to Sue them for a ridiculous amount of money. Lo and behold, he started to curse and the judge landed the hammer down on him and instead command instead, they had no charges and later on my mother stepped out the door and she had placed upon her doorstep a yellow rose! It was from 1997 until now and hereafter that I will always pray to her and she keeps my garden alive even after many others have died off. I feel like I can hear her and feel her presence at times and I just want to give her a hug so badly but I can't😥 To hear her sing and speak great philosophy.

I love St. Therese, I fell in love with her the first time I read about her. However I want to say that its way easier to do things for Jesus than for a person who behaves like a devil....just saying, though Jesus makes our effort merituous when we do our best to do so as St.Therese says so.

I was reared a "Roman Catholic" as opposed to being raised as a "Greek Orthodox" et al. Ancient Rome, Early Christian Rome, Medieval Rome etc. have given us very interesting architecture, art, artefacts, history, culture and welcoming and fascinating locations within the city as a whole as well as within the Vatican State. I love visiting there and I will return as long as I have the health and wealth to do so. Of course I also know that we Humans will eventually become extinct, that there's no "God", "Afterlife/Heaven" and that when we're "dead" we're "dead".

This video was wonderful until you tried to sell this journal to your viewers. You might as well be a TV evangelist. It doesn’t feel genuine. Just a thought.

Not to be mean or criticize her holiness, but she is not a Doctor of the Church. More modernist claptrap so anxious to appeal to human conceit and avarice. Our greatest Saint was a woman, Her mother is a great Saint, Helen an epic Saint. Monica, Elizabeth, Gemma, Mary of Magdalene, Martha and Mary, Gemma Galgani--they need no false accolades and neither does Saint Therese.
@marielivingstone53693 жыл бұрын
notsoserious o9 I am afraid you are very wrong. St. Therese was made a Doctor of The Church by The Holy Father and that is the way it remains. Like it or not. This comment of yours was very disrespectful to St. Therese. One day you may be glad of her intercession. Nr. Ireland.
@notsoserious09443 жыл бұрын
@@marielivingstone5369 Not apostolic at all. But that is not surprising considering the run of bad popes we've had. Being declared a Doctor of the Church holds as much authority, supernaturally, as the near instantaneous, gold star "sainthoods" being tossed out these days. You seem like a feminist to proud of a title awarded because of her sex. That is a curse and probably why St. Paul offered his observation that women should not teach in ministry.

I was present when Pope John Paul 2 made her a doctor of the church It was at world youth Day in Paris. Beautiful occasion. I had no relationship with saints before that and was struggling with the church. However, she has and still does inspire me. Her little way of love. It's so humbling, as is said in this video. While the language in the book is a little archaic, it's nevertheless a great help. I suggest reading it, and not to allow the old fashioned way of expressing things to put off. Pray for patience and the messages God wants you to receive. Thank you for this video. The Saint planner sounds interesting. Certainly, structure is needed. St. Therese herself saw this, shown by her strong desire to enter into the order at such a young age. I don't find your comment disrespectful, however, she has been made doctor for her writing. Her book is a guide on how to become a saint. It takes years. I'm still reading it even though it was 1997 when I bought the book, after that rememberable world youth day. God bless you.

Surprisingly, St. Thérèse of Liseaux is a Doctor of the Catholic Church. I am sure no one would have more surprised at this than St. Thérèse herself. She wrote “ The Story of a Soul “ at the request of her superiors, because she couldn’t do much else than lay in bed when she was ill with TB. I read this book many years ago and distinctly remember the incident when the Nun, who St. Thérèse just could not like personally, said to her “ Why do you love me so much ? “ And St. Thérèse said that she answered her by saying “ I don’t know why, I just do “ Then she goes on to say “ I was speaking of her spiritually, of course. “ She did not grow in her earthly love for this nun, but treated her wonderfully. I thought that was so helpful with people you just don’t like. We all know people like that. I found her thinking truly human and funny. But the other nun never knew!

Interestingly, there are two women Saints who are Doctors of the Church, both named Theresa. St. Theresa of Avila was most certainly not a modern saint. And I don’t think St. Thérèse was a modern saint either if you look at the dates of her life. You are certainly entitled to your opinion, but facts are facts.
