Ever since I came into my faith, I've always felt a special connection to St. Therese. I came into my faith at 12, and Therese had her "conversion" at 14. I'm 13 now and I relate a lot to her. I really needed this video today. I've been falling into spiritual laziness, spiritual dryness and scrupulosity. I get no consolation in prayer, and i have no desire to pray. I've been skipping prayer and spiritual reading, and instead scrolling on social media. This has been going on for months. I've continued praying 4 Rosaries but they have been rushed and lazy. It's hard because I don't have a spiritual director or a good confessor to help me on the path to sainthood. I don't have any Catholic friends my age either. These videos are my spiritual nourishment. Please pray for me. It's so hard to be a Saint in today's world, especially as a young person. I need all the prayer I can get. Please ask Our Lady to help me.

It sounds like you're having a tough time. Dry times are hard. Have you ever tried making a spiritual communion or a number throughout the day. St John Vianney recommended them if we ever feel we are growing cold in our devotion. I've found them beneficial but I don't make them as often throughout the day as I would ideally like to. Also in the last few years I've become more aware of spiritual warfare and I wonder if you've ever tried something like this..".In the name of Jesus Christ, I command any spirits of Acedia, sloth, distraction, confusion and any other evil spirits that are affecting me to leave me and go to the foot of the Cross. You have no legal right to be here..." Said firmly and without doubt. I wouldn't repeat it more than say 3 times though at any one time..once should be enough. Anyway, just some ideas. You could pray for God to send you a good Confessor / Spiritual director also. God bless

@Peyton Praying for you! I’m young and had my conversion at 14 and, like you, I have no catholic friends. It’s really tough, but Jesus is good! Surrender to his grace and the intercession of His mother, you CAN become a saint. Maybe you’re not feeling consolation because Jesus is teaching you something. He loves you. Consider getting rid of social media or severely restricting it - I find that if I don’t quit something completely (eg. gaming), I can’t restrain myself at all, but do what works for you. Remember that eternal things matter infinitely more than things here on earth. Soldier on friend, may Jesus and Mary be with you!

She wanted to be everything--an apostle, a mystic, a preacher, a saint. I believe she got her wish, plus one. She was content to spend her life unknown in a poor, cold convent with others who often misunderstood her. Only a few were at her funeral. And now she is a Doctor of the Church! I love Little Therese...In reading her autobiography, a lot of times, I have come to know her, and admire her, along with love her, as I said...She kept the book, Imitation of Christ, by Thomas Kempis... close to her and loved this book. She was so humble, and beautiful. She did not make you feel afraid of God, even in our most dire weaknesses but saw God as her Father, who was all forgiving. We are going to fall but keep on getting up and running to Our Lord as a little child..no matter how many times we fall, as a father loves his child God is the one who put that love in our parents to love us and His Love is INFINITE !!!

I have always loved Therese because of the story of her life. I was reading her story one day but got called away. As I was hurrying along I recalled Therese asking Jesus who she was for Him. I asked this same question & instantly heard the response in my ear, “ you are Song in My Heart”! I will never forget that moment. Has it made me grow in love for God? St. Therese de Lisieux is the Saint I drew for the month of July at our monthly prayer meeting. She's no stranger to me -- my grandma was a convert who was brought into the Church at what is now the Basilica of St Thérèse the Little Flower near Detroit. She named my mom for this Saint, and I named my daughter for her. But when we draw the name of a Saint for each month, it's for a reason: that Saint has something to show us, teach us, and draw us closer to the Lord, to do His will.

Welcome Matthew! The rosary was entrusted by Our Lady to St. Dominic Guzman in 1214. He was the founder of the Order of Preachers (Dominicans). The Blessed Mother is the Refugium Peccatorum (Refuge of Sinners), and praying (not saying) the rosary with devotion- being mindful of the mystery that each decade invites us to meditate on- is what she implores us to do daily; because from those prayers, through the Grace of God, comes a change of heart which brings us closer to our Heavenly home.

Please pray for me, as I am taking a trip up to her shrine in Darien where her and her parents' relics will be exposed for veneration in October. Sts Louis and Zelie Martin brought me back to the faith and kickstarted my discernment in my vocation. St. Thérèse confirmed my vocation to marriage, though I haven't found my spouse yet. I was a cradle Catholic who has been away from the Faith for many years, but returned in 2020. I'm so grateful to be on this journey and I am trusting in God's timing 😊
