I use to ride my bike there from Atherly when I was a kid dreaming of being a pilot . Now I fly there in flight sim dreaming of being a pilot 50 years later

I starting flying flight sim on a Commodore 64. That’s how old I am! I have flight sim on the Xbox and use it regularly on days when I need to fly and the weather won’t cooperate.

Thanks for sharing this video, our family had a cottage on Lake St. John with planes flying over our cottage into runway 12. I've always wanted to see what it was like to fly into that airport.

Thinking about getting my pilots license next year. Been studying on and off as a hobby and seeing this content is fantastic! Thanks for bringing us along! I hope to find a good mentor locally soon to advance my learning and experience. I'm very close to KPNE and watch the students doing their night landings all the time (admittedly interfering with my telescope viewing) but can't wait to get started.

@@tonyb7748 thanks for flying along. I got my license at 35 years old, even though I dreamed of being a pilot ever since I was a kid. If you can make it happen, go for it! I’ve been flying for over 25 years and still love every minute of it.

@@skyhawkadventures9374 I'l turn 42 this year, I have also dreamed of flying and maybe owning a plane since a kid as well. My dad snuck me onboard his B-52 while stationed at Griffis AFB in the late 80's so I have had the bug to take the controls since then lol. Chasing cows through pastures with a bomber in upstate NY was probably my best memory .
