I've always wanted to visit Beachley and Aust. Such prominent, historical places either side of a beautiful bridge x

There has only been one death in several decades and that was an 8 year old boy who, tragically, didn't know about tides. If you do, as you have clearly demonstrated, it is perfectly safe. As a 'local' I most definitely don't refuse to go there and have taken many others with me on to the estuary.

There has been several bridge deaths though, I lived in beachley when two bridge maintenance men fell, when one of the cages broke. One of the wives of the men knocked on my door and asked if she could watch from our garden, while the coastguards looked for them.

I lived in beachley, and it shames me to say...that I never walked to the end point.

It's a beautiful river all the way up it plus tragically there has been a few deaths one of them a close friend off the bridge what goes to sedbury. And another man in his sixties drowned fishing in the Severn by the slip way RIP to both off

What on earth is that bizarre statue in the ruins? Is it some kind of buddha wearing a Masonic apron?
