1 cup of tamarind pulp
1/4 cup of sugar- 1/2 cup of sugar if you prefer
1 teaspoon (1/8 or 1/4 teaspoon)of ground black pepper if you prefer
Pepper sauce, grated ginger or garlic if you prefer in place of black pepper
Pinch of salt
Prap or pop the tamarind because when we crack the tamarind it makes a popping sound.
