This is TV. A TV studio is too small for a live band to be heard clearly and there is no time set aside for a sound check. The bands almost always fake play and the singers often lip sync. Beth Hart also usually doesn't bring a full band for TV publicity even though she has almost always played with a full band (minus some one off acoustic stuff) at her concerts.

It’s best to learn on a big honking monster of a guitar so by the time you get to a featherweight piece, it’s easier to riff. From personal experience I learnt on a heavy piece with ultra-high strings... blisters and callouses, then ultimately get a lightweight solid body epiphone and lowered the action and it’s sooo much easier to riff, but, hopefully, someone will gift me an Annie Clark Music Man. I’m a big smelly man but I would LOVE to get my grubby hands on one of her models.

Still don't get it. If this album is satire it still seems like too little too late appease to mainstream with all these butts on cover and sexualized images of self. I think St.Vincent went into wrong direction, musically (it's rather dull) and image-wise (majority wouldn't get satire, they'd get that chick is super hot and butt is fine).
@SolangeEnriquezSegretin7 жыл бұрын
If I didn't know her a bit from interviews, I wouldn't have known it was satire. Just taking a look at her Instagram's latest posts... I still have my doubts. Even if it is, I feel like she sold herself out terribly. There's a 180º turn in terms of composition, production, lyrics, everything. Maybe she likes playing the actress? Living her concepts and ideas at flesh level. Anyways, her new music sounds kind of pathetic, machine generated, but well, artists live in a constant state of metamorphosis. Too bad it can include musical changes like this.
@gerardinho7dani7 жыл бұрын
Just take the music for what it is. I don't think she's trying to appease the mainstream one bit. I'm a long-time fan and I trust any direction she chooses. Satire is just a tiny part; sexiness is another. There's nothing wrong with it, she can do sexy and just about anything else as long as she's putting in the work.

Yeah but when you listen to the over the top sound and style you get into the satierical beauty of this album. The poi t of the album is to look like a trashy sexual album, but then when you look underneath you really get a sense of the depth of it all.

Her guitar is gender inclusive because it allows for more "boob space". She didn't reference it in the vid because it would've been stupidly mocked by that host / it's quite obvious.

Fernando Souza yeah,I've heard of that problem before,normally with acoustic guitars when sat down playing..again,I understand custom requirements,signature guitars.her guitar is perfect for her..it seems though to make no difference to boob space.as you can see when she plays sat down..the top 'horn' is much higher than a telecaster..it's obvious...and the graham norton show is one big silly.i wouldnt have worried about it..

@politiksispoker23627 жыл бұрын
Ivan we are discussing why the hell a guitar is referred to as gender neutral. Are we pretending every men is tall and every women is short? The guitar is lighter (like so many other guitars tbh, she isn't inventing light guitars) so is good for smallest people, which has nothing to do with gender.
