It's a great album, numerous covers are interesting and faithful. This, however, is off the scale brilliant. It hits the point of cover versions. You know the song, but it's a totally different song from what you are familiar with. Cale would love it. Reed would love it, but hate it because Cale loved it 😂

Listen to the Velvet Underground album & rethink your listening maybe? With the advent of techno futurism and both our descent into hell & some kind of futurist cohesion, I think we are all doing the best we can to negotiate given circumstances. The V.U. album makes me want a very comfortable safe space environ & shrooms & lovers. I think this rendition does nothing at all to prevent that idea of need. In fact likely stresses it's relevance, if given dystopian, at least extremely realistic.

I get the idea behind this cover, it's meant to sound like a modern version of the weird and avant-garde that the original must've sounded to people listening at the time. It does achieve that, it just doesn't make for a song I'd like to listen to. I was hoping this would be a more faithful cover like Courtney Barnett's version of I'll Be Your Mirror. This style might've worked better for Black Angel's Death Song or maybe Venus in Furs.

Yeah dude, it was kinda scary. I had to look at the new PSBHQ video, I dunno new, few days ago it came out. I was actually calmed looking at the industry stock footage of the factories. I think psychologically that's a pycho somatic response to capital, in terms of economic inequality historically speaking.
