I just discovered Fats Domino a few days ago, thanks to KZbin and I am 60….how could I have lived 6 decades without this MUSIC. There’s so much garbage infesting the ears and minds of young people today . Anyway, thank God for Fats’ gift, which he passed on to all of us.

Fats Domino really was the First King of Rock N' Roll. He enjoyed performing for his audiences and made it look so easy. What a multi talented piano player, singer he had that special charisma, stage presence and aura of super stardom that just lit up the room. His sound was so authentic and of natural talent! He was a true showman of a musician.

My family lives in Baton Rouge. Every Saturday night my parents went to New Orleans to hear him play in the clubs. I grew up to his records playing all the time. My mom played the piano for a big Baptist church. She said she had to be front row to see him when he played. They said he would sit at their table and enjoy their drinks together. Fats put rock n roll into the boogie woogie, and he taught my mom a few good tricks. Love this!
