Great video as usual. You might need a bit carpet on the metal floor of the boat for when it gets really hot. All the best to you both. Cheers.😀

So I'm in the final stages of modifying and fitting out a 1450 explorer to side console with casting deck and transom with a central 50l bait tank, riggers, down rigger, autopilot ect. It has been upgraded to 70hp and will be running 60hp. The fuel figures you are getting is what I am expecting to get from my setup at a minimum. I think you may need to look at engine height and a hydrofoil may help. The small Stabis seem to need them but I'm not up to that stage yet to give an opinion. Sounds like you have the prop sorted given your top end and as you said once you have real time fuel data you will be able to fine tune things. Cheers, John

Hey John, appreciate your insite, sounds like your boat is a weapon! We had ours in for its 20 hour last week and got a foil put on and the engine hight adjusted with a block put in. Hopefully should sort us out. What riggers are you running?

When you both decided on the nomad HS did you consider the Sea jay 3.85 angler. It is a deeper boat with higher sides and cuts through the water better. Did you decide on the nomad because is suited your style of fishing having a wider beam and more stable at rest or the angler not available in stock or some other reasons? Reason am asking is that I ordered the 3.85 angler over the nomad HS mainly because it should better handle any chop, inner reef fishing....

Keep them coming guys. Eventually you tube will pay you that much money that you won't have time to go to work.

Lovely Ep and area guys, That's around the same as we get with our 5m Quintrex and 60hp 4/ yamaha 3klp with our boat loaded

Thanks Craig - that's good to know. We have just got a permatrim fitted to the motor, so hoping that will make us a bit more efficient.

@@jamesnjacqdriftin Hope so for you. Maybe lift your motor one one as long as it does not cavitate

How stiff/tight do you have your tiller steering set??? I noticed you let go of the tiller and leave the engine running at speed so im guessing the steering is fairly tight. Is your engine a 25hp 4 stroke? For the US viewers i calculated you got about 7.5 miles per gallon. 72 kilometers is 45 miles and 25 liters is little more than 6 gallons... So 45÷6=7.5 miles per gallon😁💦🛥️
@jamesnjacqdriftin14 күн бұрын
Yeah like to keep it tight when we are trolling and then very easy to loosen when I need to. Its a 40HP 4stroke
@myparadiseonbantayanisland903014 күн бұрын
@jamesnjacqdriftin thanks for the fuel economy numbers. I just got a yamaha 30hp 2 stroke and plan a 170 kilometer trip so nice to know about how much fuel i will need😁💦🛥️
@tomh22515 күн бұрын
when i first saw these stabis i thought 40hp max wouldn’t be enough sounds very unpowered for a 4.4 heavy lookin floaty thing haha
@jamesnjacqdriftin14 күн бұрын
Ha yeah I can understand that. Top end we are getting 50km an hour. We have got a permatrim put on this week which should bring the back of the boat out of the water more. It has to work pretty hard at trolling speed without it

If you're going to continue weekly videos. You should add in cinematic montage snippets of your life. It will make the videos feel more like a movie than a vlog.c And if you have something serious to say you can encorporate that into your cooking segment or chat time or something. Would increase cinematic quality by a lot and I guarantee everyone wishes they were kite surfing surfing and fishing all day. No reason not to include a highlight reel
