Regarding your berley pot, get yourself a large game fishing sized ball bearing swivel fitted with a snap clip and a 5 or 6 inch diameter foam ball float; the type that has a hole through the centre. Permanently tie the swivelled clip onto the end of your berley pot cord, then pass it through the hole in the ball float. Make a small loop of strong cord (like dyneema) and permanently tie it to the rim of the berley pot. Then clip onto the pot loop. I have spray painted my float bright yellow. Not only is it less likely you will forget the pot is over the side, but if for some reason your handcaster goes over the side, the float stops you from losing the whole rig. I know cause I got my expensive stainless steel berley cage back 24 hours after my handcaster went over the side in the middle of a night time snapper session off Carrum.

Great episode nice whjting reminds me of Edithburgh sa.Last 2 times i used a scale bag the rope snapped and i lost 30 whiting 2 second time a dolphin grabbed it but i showed my wife how to fillet so problem fixed.😊

Hopefully we are a lot less restricted with this new boat, we were comfortable taking our old boat 10km plus offshore on a good day! At this stage just sleeping in the swag with a very basic draw setup in the car

I had a krx offroad trailer and couldnt get rid of it quick enough. The rubberrised coating i had it done in was terrible and the boat sat that high my landcruisers front wheels were well and truely in the water trying to get it too float off. Just buy an easytow and you wont regret it, better too tow, better to get on and off just spec it up with 15" rims to get some clearance and eye to eye springs

@jamesnjacqdriftin yeah 31's would be great if your taking it up Billy goats track or somewhere where there is no water at the top of a hill. Really you could just set up 15" rims and get a bit of height and its all your ever going to need

I've got the same boat, however with a Yamaha and it needs to be trimmed in alot to stop the porpoising, especially with only one onboard. Love to hear if there is a motor adjustment fix?

Do you have both steps at the back also? I can stop the porpoising no worries when it’s trimmed further down but then that’s when the water spray becomes a real issue 😂 Will chat with the dealer when it goes in for its 20 hours in a few weeks but I recon a foil will help it be able to trim up more but keep the bow down

The side console models have a bigger HP rating but limited to 40hp on the tiller.

There is a lot more wave slap noise coming through this hull that is loud in the video. Maybe some EV matting glued to the hull or a DJI mic set may help.

Thanks for the feedback - cheers! Is was especially choppy the day this was filmed but certainly a lot more noise than the old boat. Hoping to try get a deck amour or similar quality peice across the deck. Cant bring myself to make a mess of it with the cheap eBay stuff
