whats the actually usable distance? is the claimed distance total including either side of laser or actual length to one direction?

I bought the la 180l . the gears seem to be a bit stripped in it right out of the box, you can hear them skipping a bit then they grab and move the top. to get it to AUTO align it is a long button press.

Yeah, I watched a video made by a popular building KZbin channel and they loved their Stabila levels, went on and on about the warranty. One of their levels failed and they filmed the process of returning it and posted the results on their channel. Stabila denied the warranty and they had to buy a new level. A few weeks after the video was posted, Stabila contacts the KZbin channel and tells them they made a mistake and sends them 3 new levels for free, the creator forgives Stabila for the misunderstanding and praises Stabila now. So what I learned from this is that Stabila does not stand by their products unless you have a large following online and the KZbin channel has no integrity for letting Stabila off the hook so easily. So 2 different companies lost my business when that happened. I'll never buy Stabila.

I finally had to buy a new plate level after having replaced 4 for free after the original purchase. The frame was bent on my last one so I up graded to the 7' to 12' plate level.

I’m still on the fence on the 180. Is this still available in Germany? Did they stop making it available for that market?

I don’t understand , at the beginning of the video, you marked 5 1/2” and then you went to the other end and mark 5 1/2 as well? Why? How do you know the other end going to be exactly 5 1/2” just like the first side ?

That's the standard width of the sill plate he will bolt to the top of the wall. 2x6 is actually 5 1/2 inches wide.

At my jobsite my error tolerance its about 1mm or (1/64)inches im steel erector. thit layout station can suit for me?? My job sites are about 100meters

yeah, I think I will take my advice from someone who doesn’t go standing on a foundation wall in the rain for no good reason while wearing skater clothes.

The 180 is garbage. Unless you have a perfectly level foundation with no steps , this is a waste of money. And Make sure there is no equipment running anywhere nearby, and ground vibration will not allow it to send to the receiver. Not worth the money
