Hi Stacey, I follow you from the UK . The first one of your tutorials that I made was a sewing machine cover. The way you explained step by step had me hooked I love to make things with you. You helped me start quilting and I made the block of the month and finished it by following your block of the month 2023. I have just given it to my granddaughter who is away at university training to be a midwife she was delighted. So a big thank you Stacey, you have made a big difference to my retirement. I’m always slipping away to my sewing room excited to sew my latest project. Are you going to do BOTM next year … I really hope so only this time I’ll make sure to buy the correct fabric 😂😂. I do buy a lot of Moda charm and mini charm packs, the quality is wonderful and now, knowing that they back the quilt for comfort, makes them even more special. I am German, living in the UK since 1997, but where I grew up in Germany, was just a 40-minute Drive to the Dutch border, so we drove their with my parents every other Saturday to go shopping in Venlo. The Netherlands are beautiful.

I love your channel Stacey. I made the pumpkin table runner. From that video I learned to put on a self binding backing and that pumpkin table runner graced my kitchen table all through fall. I received wonderful compliments. Because of your detailed teaching I am now confident with regard to creating table runners. And I am venturing well into the actual creation of quilts. I have 3 waiting to be quilted, but I’m still holding back. Please don’t be too terribly concerned about those who dislike your videos. Some people are hurting and they feel mean and angry and they lash out. Pray for them and yourself because God moves mountains. God also opens and closes doors. I will pray for Neil’s and his friends. It is a brave undertaking and I believe they will do very well. We all get 24 hours in a day. I’m sure you and Neil's will find the balance. Have fun on your trip with Moda. Will you be posting video footage that those of us who are subscribed to when my sister and I purchased our Juki sewing machines we decided we wanted to donate quilts to people in need. Is the quilt along in 2025 also for people who cannot attend? Looking forward to your next video.

Stacey I am quite sure all of your regulars will continue to you to follow you regardless of how many videos you do in the year. I’m also sure I understand why the lady with medical issues finds peace and relaxation by watching you, you ❤have such a presence on screen and your nature is so kind and nurturing. As for those people who do a thumbs down, they need to be constructive with their criticism and say what they disliked about the video so you can change it if needs be. I have found in recent times a lot more negativity on KZbin Comments which is very hurtful I would think for the people who have taken the time to put the videos together. Regarding dislikes. I hate to admit this, but my eyes aren’t what they used to be and cell phones can be small so there’s every chance some may be by the older generation hitting the wrong hand by mistake.

I expect many of the dislikes you get are there by accident. I am left handed and often hit a like or dislike just moving the screen. ( I have also heard the Facebook algorithm pushes videos with lots of angry emojis higher up on the list for non-subscribers to see ...so are a good way to get more exposure for the channel. Does that happen in KZbin?)

Sometimes with my phone screen being so small, i press the dislike accidentally but i fix that as soon as i notice. I hope that doesn’t show up in your stats 😞

In regards to dislikes - a portion are accidental. Another portion is a viewer trying to hone in the algorithm. I know that years ago it helped me but these days there are other ways and I don't hit the dislike button. Subscriptions is another tricky one. I'm not subscribed, but it isn't because I don't enjoy the content. I am most likely to subscribe to a channel with fewer than 1k subscribers. Once they've cleared that,I'll unsub. Subscribing does not help me in terms of viewing, usually. If I could sort and categorize the channels I'm subscribed to I'd subscribe more often. Or if I could choose to get search results within the parameters of subscribed-to channels. I don't mean any of this in a negative way towards you, it's just that likes/dislikes & subscribing are different for everyone. It isn't even always about the content but with how people interact with the platform.

Oh, it's such a shame that you look at it that way. If you watch and enjoy a KZbin channel and they ask you to subscribe, it's one of the simplest ways to support the creators working hard to create content you're enjoying. Subscribers help creators reach more viewers, qualify for new features, and build their community. Plus, subscribing helps the KZbin algorithm know which content you value (the main reason you should be subscribing to channels). Subscribing makes a huge difference for creators and doesn't cost anything. I hope you'll reconsider supporting the channels you watch and enjoy. By the way, you can also create custom collections, which may help you.
