I'm just a little bit younger than you, almost 60 and I started listening to them in '81. At the beginning I didn't understand them very well, but after a few years I started to understand them, just peeling one layer at the time, just like onion. The more layers I remove, the more I like them. There is nothing even remotely superficial about them. They are one of my two favourite bands (depends which day you ask me). I have a Pink Floyd day roughly once a month, that day I listen them almost exclusively and each time I discover something new in their music. Yes, they are one of my two favourite, but if I have to puck the best, it would be Pink Floyd.

I was just 5 years old when I saw my dad sitting in front of the TV, tears streaming down his face. It’s the only time I’ve ever seen him cry, and that moment is etched into my memory. I grew up with Pink Floyd as the soundtrack to our lives-24 years of their music playing constantly in our home. For my dad, though, it’s been a lifetime. He’s been with them since 1972, when Meddle came out. I can’t even begin to imagine what he’s feeling now. He’s carried their music with him through decades, through everything. Two months ago, I had the privilege of seeing Gilmour live in Rome with my brother. My dad couldn’t come, but being there, finally experiencing what it feels like to be at one of their concerts... it was overwhelming. I still dream about it. Stacey, your reaction video touched me so deeply. Watching you cry, I felt it too. Seeing them age, knowing we’re nearing the end of their journey-it’s heartbreaking. I can’t imagine what it’s like for my dad’s generation, who grew up with them, who lived through their prime, and now face the reality of their last shows. Pink Floyd isn’t just music. It’s a connection, a legacy, a shared history with my dad. And I love them-and him-more than words can ever say.

'A little too much'...'ugly crying'....Girl, you really don't understand do you? To us old gits, who were taught to supress our emotions...to find a Gen Z girl who EI (emotionally intelligently) follows the whole Floyd story and after a year of learning, it brings her to tears...Literally unheard of...'ugly crying' may mean something in your youthful world...not ours. You have no idea how many oldies are crying along with you. The whole concept of 'crying' was denied to us sensitive blokes. To share it with a young'un is...well...validation I guess. You make us relive our musical tastes as valid and frankly, masterpieces. And for that, I'm incredibly grateful for your channel.

Stacey! I "went" to my first ever concert, which was Pink Floyd, in 1989, a few months before I was born (Mom was 7 months pregnant). That explains why they for me are forever the greatest and most fav band. They are so much larger than life, their sound is difficult to describe with simple words, it has to be heard and felt! Got to see Roger, David and Nick separately a few times with their respective solo bands as well, but sadly never this "Golden" lineup. I watched this whole video and cried with you, this performance is every bit as "final" as you can imagine. Sadly tensions and animosity, but they still put their differences aside and delivered a performance worthy of history books. There will never be another band like Pink Floyd, ever.

oh little one you cried your heart out, bless you, Yeah Pink Floyd have that effect on everyone that has a heart. especially after the loss of Sid and Richard. May you and your loved ones be heathy and safe, lots of love and hugs from Greece (ps, I loved the fact that Mason just threw his headphones away to enjoy the solos to their fullest since he knew that would be the first and last time since 1985 that Walter would be with them)

Oh young friend, Pink Floyd music will never die as long as you young folks keep discovering their magic. I know down the road you will show your kids this music and it will continue.

I loved your reaction! I'm an old man now, but when I was a teenager, I saw Pink Floyd perform live at a small dance club in France back in '68. The same four English chaps, I can still remember it like it was yesterday. They were right in front of us, no stage, just set up at the back of the dance floor. They were around 22 years old at the time, just kids really, but man did they ever jam like nothing I'd ever seen or heard before. They had this funky groove at the time, and I remember this one song in particular, I think it was called Let there be light, or more light or something like that, and it was so amazing with this crazy bass groove that Roger started the song with. David was the singer, and after a verse or two, the song just went into this super long jam session with different parts, every part so cool and even a funky section that Richard started on his organ. Nick was drumming like a mad man I remember that too he was very cool to watch, and anyway it was something I always remembered and I've been a major fan ever since. My Dad was transferred back to the states in '69 so I didn't see them perform again for many years. Love those guys!

This is probably the best example of how music can touch our soul, lift us up and sooth our spirit. The world is a better place thanks to all the artists who give us the gift of music.

You are a great soul. You understand and feel this music as it was intended to be felt. I am almost 70 and have been listening to Pink Floyd since 1970. I don't think any of this music has aged and you are the proof of it.

Well Stacey that was a reaction and a half. I hope that you will carry these guys with you for your lifetime like so many of your older viewers have. I cried at the time of this concert and cried again along with you listening to this. Such an emotional moment in musical history.

Seeing the four guys up there together after all those years truly was a magical experience! We were blessed to have them in our lives and to have that final reunification, even if it was for a brief moment in time. I'm so grateful that they did that, that they set aside their differences and made history for such a greater cause. Wonderful!

I’ve said this more times than I care to remember. My FAVOURITE band EVER. Their music is unbelievably exquisite. The lyrics, the musicianship, the feelings they’ve given me. Seeing these great men back together at that time was more than I could have wished for.

I saw Pink Floyd twice in their early days: once in July of '68 (I was 16) at JFK Stadium and '70 (I was 18) at the Electric Factory, both in Philadelphia. Two of the highlights of my misspent youth.

You aren't alone in thinking that there was something special about his performance. After this show, there were dozens of articles talking about how their performance was THE highlight of the event. Members of other bands were watching from the side of the stage and/or front row. Everyone was transfixed.

I’m sorry I don’t usually make comments like this on KZbin. But your reaction to This epic and iconic last performance of the most legendary Pink Floyd is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen!! 1st of all it’s evident that are a true Pink FIoyd fan in thus episode. So nice to see a young person appreciate the talent that came before. but most specifically. Watching your emotions as you listened to this performance made me sincerely hope that the man or woman that you are with fully appreciates your depth of feeling and emotions over music. I have been a professional musician for nearly all my life and the older I get the more I reflect on how music is an emotional experience and connection more than anything else. Thank you for this raw and deep emotional reaction to This most historic and important musical event

I am 63 years old and have listened to Pink Floyd since I was a teenager. Growing up in the 70's and musically inclined, I have appreciated all genres of music, but Pink Floyd has always been my favorite. All the documentaries, videos late night at the theater, they have always resonated in my life. All their music is priceless but to me when I hear the Live at Pompeii concert, 1971 "Echoes" and you realize that the Meddle album cover opened up is an ear, where you receive the music it really resonates in the soul. Those first words after the intro, "Overhead the albatross hangs motionless upon the air," is mesmerizing. Then the next groove at about the seven minute mark is incredible! In one video when asked his favorite, David Gilmore said it was Echoes. I will listen to them my whole life! If you have not heard Echoes from the Meddle album Stacey, please do!

Love your reaction to this. They have been my favorite band for over 45 years now and when this actually happened I cried my eyes out. Hard to believe that almost 20 years have gone by since then. It really is unfortunate that Dave & Roger's relationship is still so strained after all these years is really sad. Thank god we still have the legendary music they made together.
