Spot on. there is more. Stacie Orrico poses the question not leave you in a depressed place but to hint you toward seeking what is more and what is truely satisfying - I’ll give you a hint - Stacie Orrico is Christian…. Humankind longs for this. Realising the things of this world are temporary highs is often the first step in uncovering what is truly valuable.. Stacie puts this forward in her song in hope that you would take that step. 1:56 key change. that’s music language for a crescendo, for hope! Take care.

Living in a world where you constantly need to work hard, keep up with life, always be productive, and earn more money to be considered successful.... It's exhausting..it also makes you wonder if life really has to be this way... you go to school, graduate, get a job..then when you finally found that job .. you're always hustling just to meet ends... and to top it off, you're not even sure if what you're doing with your life is right.. I'm seriously surprised a pop song has such meaningful lyrics. These are probably one of the most meaningful lyrics I've heard in any song, coupled with the video, the insight you can get from this video is incredible. There is more to life than all of the experiences accumulated. The happiness, the freedom, the contentment is not within the experiences, no matter how diverse and plentiful. It is hidden in plain sight. It is right where you are...but only visible once you stop looking.

Omg I totally forgot about this song. This was my jam when I was unjustifably depressed in my early teens.
@godschosenone-rw4so5 жыл бұрын
No one is ever unjustifably depressed. I know how depression works better then any doctor but spreading my beliefs is near impossible on this planet so hopefully i can help some people here. Depression comes from a lack of needs. When an individual lacks a basic necessity need such as money, a home or food, a dependent need such as friends, family or loved ones, or an independent need such as self acompolishments, completed goals or self worth they will feel depressed everytime they realize they are lacking the need. Depression is curable and it is cured by finding all of the depressive factors an individual has and attempting to solve them. People with severe depression could have 4 or more depressive factors but they can all be solved if doctors knew anything about depression and how it worked. Medication only makes the individual forget about their depressive factors it does not solve them so depression will remain until all depressive factors are solved. Anyways my point is nobody is unjustifiably depressed. Most people will get depressed if they lack any human need throughout their life. More awareness of how depression works and how to solve it would help millions but doctors are to busy selling drugs so drug companys can make money to find the truths i know. Hopefully this helps someone out there

According to society you would not be able to build a house, grow vegetables, have your self water system, construct a car and even not bei able to teach yourself how to drive, you'd need someone to teach your kids, extinguish fire, you would not even be able to make music, or invent a website where you can share or play your music, and the worse of it, society thinks you are not even able to protect yourself in case of agression and that you would call the cops instead! So they ask competent people to do it for you, and that's how some of them have to work! /sarcasmEnd ... Well, our society is really not perfect but if people have boring jobs, most of the time they are either unable to do otherwise, or they can admit it's a good price paid for all the other things that this society can provide us. Just don't be this unemployed guy who pretend to hate society, but just takes what he wants from it, leaving the shit to the others. Most people and so do I have a job that does not please them, but just see the pro and con of leaving it. Most people get to the conclusion that if you are not happy with your job, you have still no choice if you are seeking happiness in another part of your personal life. It's shitty but that's why most people, and so do I, would like not to work but just can't leave their job easily. There are good things in this society, we could not necessarily be on our way all alone.

@theharshtruthoutthere2 жыл бұрын
@@ThisIsNotAhnJieRen Behind their "cool sounding music" lies list of sick and evil rituals, the all must do in order to have their time in the spotlight. For there is A PRICE to everything, including the rich and famous lives on this earth. Mark 1:13 And he was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted of Satan; and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered unto him. Hebrews 2:18 For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted. Hebrews 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Luke 4:2 Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered. Matthew 4:10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. James 4:7 - Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 2 Corinthians 2:11 Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices. 1 Thessalonians 3:5 For this cause, when I could no longer forbear, I sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter have tempted you, and our labour be in vain. The same way Christ was tempted, so are all humans also tempted: “Bow down to lucifer and all the earthly riches he will give to you” - and that's how we got our human entertainers (singers, actors, influencers), they were tempted with the “cool lives to live on earth” and they fell for it. The Blood Contract - as they all call it, and at the end of it, the biggest price to pay. Why did they fell? - because mankind is no longer raised up with the truth and in the truth. Proverbs 22:6 - Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Sadly we do the opposite with the younger generations and train them up all the ways they should not go. Leaving them in danger of getting tempted by satan and without the Armour of GOD. Ephesians 6:11 - Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

I was srsly obsessed with this song tho. I would literally wait until like 2 to 3 am for the song to come on cuz the radio station back then would recycle 40 songs for 24 hrs. So when I hear this song play during the day, I'll wait for it to be replayed again some time later.

Hope things start looking up for you bro Hold you head up King. Don’t fall into the rat race… the same generic stuff people are brainwashed to commit their lives to. Look deeper and think about what “You” want. Often makes life a lot simpler and less pressured. Don’t live your life to impress anyone.

This song is so deep. For me it speaks of how we are wrapped up in samsara, living through the highs and the lows, another birth, another death and in this all we are wondering: There's gotta be more to life... and we ask how we can transcend it all...
