My god this home is beautiful. I'm sure it was extremely expensive but this is one of the few that I can honestly say was worth every penny. Nothing is ostentatious, nothing is gaudy, and there isn't gold or marble everywhere. The materials are gorgeous and the craftsmanship is exquisite

This is the first time I see: “minimal” design not lacking; expensive build not looking in any way tacky, an architect’s project looking livable and practical 100% and just in general completely harmonious looking space. She’s an incredible architect. I love the brick/window detail that you can see from the inside . They didn’t just go for the minimalist hotel look that everyone does now, they really created a family home that is unique and beautiful. 😭

This is such a functional ~ and aesthetically appealing ~ house. So many well thought-out spaces and light that create a comfortable, livable environment that fosters the residents’ daily lives and relationships. I studied architectural design and was fortunate to live in Southern California where I visited many well-known, mid-century architectural masterpieces. As much as we all are inclined to adore Frank Lloyd Wright designs, Rudolph Schindler created more comfortable, livable, and beautiful spaces. (He was also not a pretentious self-promoter like FLW.) Thank you for sharing your story and design approach with us. The resulting house reflects a deep understanding of design. And most importantly, it shows that this architect knows how to create a space that is more than a monument to themselves.

Very inspiring. This house reflects many features that we try to implement in our on-progess home. And the owners seem to have similar values as we too live in an apartment and is pushing to build a serene and natural home for our daughter. Though I don't have that big of a land and surely not that big a budget and definitely none of the designer's knowledge, I hope that my future home will bring the same warmth and comfort as the one featured here. Perhaps in the future I will have the opportunity to work with Bitte and Agatha to realize my dream home.

All new buildings should be designed with large roof overhangs. The large overhang provides beauty and protection from the sun, rain and wind. Protection of the doors, windows and siding make for a more durable and comfortable home.
