Royal mint makes beutiful coins and gold just adds to the beauty. Very nice pick ups my friend. Not really digging Charles on the coins but it is what it is. He'll grow on me after a while I guess.

I rather stack US coins but the premiums are still too steep! Figuring I'll stack one tube of RM gold while I wait for premiums on our gold to come down. I do like the 9999 purity and PL strike of the RM gold as well, they do a great job on their coinage.

Those are absolutely stunning coins! The U.K. really does a nice job when their coins. I'm still working on my 1/4 ounce Eagles right now. I'm currently at 7.25 ounces, but once I reach 10 ounces, I think I'll move on to 1/4 ounce Krugerrands, as I've never purchased a Krugerrand in that size. I have several of the 1/10 ounce Krugerrands, but nothing in the 1/4 ounce variety. Once I have full tubes of 1/10 ounce Krugerrands and Eagles (50 per tube) and of the 1/4 ounce Krugerrands and Eagles (40 per tube), I may move up to 1/2 ounce coins at that point. I suspect I'll never reach that point, as I think they will become unaffordable as individual buys, and I'm more likely to simply trade Silver for them in the future. I love this Tudor collection though. Keep stacking!

Sounds like a solid plan to me sir! Sorry for the late reply here, I somehow missed this comment. I have some 1/0 ounce Krugers and a full ounce but I have not stacked the 1/4 size. A complete tube of Krugerrands sounds great to me! If the premiums on the AGE where lower, I would stack the 1/4 AGE's....still the best coins for US stackers.

@@SilverStruck The Tudor Beasts is a great series. Especially for me, because I started at the beginning. I ordered the Unicorn and Dragon Silver 1oz Proof/Reverse Proof sets, they are very limited. Usually 750, but the Dragon is only 500, so I ordered two sets of Dragons. There are more regular proofs individually, but hardly any reverse proofs. I do want the 1/4 Gold Unicorn and Dragon, also.

I have a 1/4oz set of Queens Beasts with an extra English Lion. However, having a complete set means they dont figure in my liquidating mindset. Thats why i concentrate on sovereigns and britannias.

I think it's great you have collected a full set of QB! I missed the beginning of that series years ago, so collecting the Tudor. Collecting a series my provide an upside later if I decide to sell but mostly it helps me stay on track to get the next coin. Keep stacking that gold!

Incredible gold coins, in your collection. I’ve been adding some gold coins at auctions this week also, 2 Australian 1/2oz, 1 Australian 1/4 & a few 1/10oz Pandas. Winning authentic gold coins at good price is easier then mass bidding on silver coins, I did it know. Question: Is it worth it to move up to US gold coins for the extra retained value?

That's a good question! I have mostly avoided US gold since around 2020 because of the premiums. Prior to 2020, I stacked almost only US gold coins. All that said, it looks like after three years of waiting the premiums on the US gold will remain high. It's not a bad idea to have some US gold in the stack.
