What happens when AI hits critical mass with coloring book publishers, ie, when those who were putting forth poor quality (which is most) eventually master the art of prompting? And their prompting results in artwork that is superior or similar to those who put a lot of work into high quality content?

I've had some success with AI-generated coloring books however I've decided to do proper line work with human artists on top of images from Midjourney. It's more expensive of course but it'll contribute to a more lasting success I believe. I see a lot of coloring enthusiasts are quite upset with AI coloring books. And it also shows in the reviews.

@@christhepepep some complain about amazon paper. others complain about lots of rubbish lines and unrecognizable elements in details. grayscale is also mentioned from time to time.

Yeah the complaints about the paper is a standard one. I guess we cant do much here. Regarding greyscale... Im back and forth. On the one hand side the images look better (imho) which is a plus for the first impression but then some ppl dont like it for coloring. I try to have not too much grey scale and mix it up with cleaner images as well

They look awfully blur. no wonder why many customers leave negative feedbacks when they purchase coloring books made with AI

once you actually format your pages, upscale if needed and or turn into vectors then they are extremely crisp. especially if you vectorize them :)
