🇨🇦🇺🇸🇲🇽 World Cup 2026 Stadiums

The excitement surrounding the football World Cup in Qatar is over. Lionel Messi led Argentina to their first World Cup title in 36 years. The world championships were full of fantastic goals and the arenas were tremendous as well. However, StadiumDB.com will not tolerate an emptiness and that is why we have prepared for you a presentation featuring all 16 arenas of the tournament to be held in 2026. The World Cup will be hosted for the first time in history by 3 countries: Canada, the USA and Mexico. The competition will also have a new format and will feature as many as 48 national teams.
Our tour of North American stadiums will begin in Canada, where there are 2 tournament venues - in Toronto and Vancouver. We will then move on to the United States. This is where most of the World Cup matches will be played and, for this reason, 11 stadiums will be at FIFA's disposal. These include such architectural wonders as SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, AT&T Stadium in Dallas and Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta. Next, we will visit Mexico, where 3 venues await us. Among them is the volcanic Estadio Akron and the monumental Estadio Azteca.

I can’t wait for my country to be hosting the World Cup! The only downside in my mind is the significant travel between games. The one good thing about the World Cup in Qatar was that all the stadiums were so close together it was very easy for fans to get to all of their teams games. The crowds might be significantly smaller, because not everyone will be able to afford the ginormous travel bills to get across this country.

Great video. My favorite venues: Los Angeles SoFI Stadium, Atlanta Mercedes Benz Stadium, Houston NRG Stadium, Monterrey Estadio BBVA, Dallas AT&T Stadium, Seattle Lumen Field and Vancouver BC Place. Las Vegas was interested in the bid at first but when they find out thru FIFA that they had to do all these extras in order to host they backed down. Plus they also said June and July were already pretty busy season for them so they didn’t need the WC To name a requirement they had to make arrangements to have 2 sites where 20k fans could watch the games for free (fan fests). Given that Las Vegas is not that big you can imagine how that would be troublesome) plus they said their hotels were already booked so it didn’t make sense to overcrowd the city even more Minneapolis pulled out for pretty much similar reasons

@@AussieGunzel Red bulls have a huge following in NJ the problem is that many people cant take the train to the stadium without having to buy tickets to other transportation. People have been wanting the stadium in Hoboken because almost every line goes to Hoboken terminal and it has an amazing view of NYC due to its waterfront. Also Hoboken is a beautful small city in NJ and has constructions areas that could be filled in. Or even next to Metlife since there's a train station literally in Metlife near the entrance. Or at least Jersey city.

The only stadium that trully deserves to host the final is the Aztec Stadium in Mexico City. It's one of the most legendary football stadiums in the world. It already hosted 2 worldcup finals where the greatests players of all time became champions. The King Pele won is last worldcup in 1970 and Maradona in 1986 both in the Aztec Stadium. I know this wont happen even if the Aztec Stadium is the only true foootball stadium there but I hope the opening ceremony and game is at least there!

The Azteca Stadium is going to be remodeled this year 2022 and it will have a new façade, seats, there will be many changes on the outside of the stadium, if it covers at least 90% of what FIFA asks for, the final will probably be held there , but unfortunately the organizers are the USA and not Canada and Mexico as many believe, so the purchasing power of this World Cup is for the USA.

The 2026 World Cup was going to be a US-hosted event. The only reason Mexico and Canada are hosting at all is because the USSF is a woke organization that, after Trump got elected President in 2016, either got deludedly nervous about losing the bid or seized on the opportunity to do what they considered to be some sort of display of virtue. There are a lot of impressive stadiums on this list. SoFi and AT&T deserve a visit if you have the time/money. But prioritize Lumen Field, especially if USA has a game there. Even if you're not a US fan. Seattle is easily the heart of soccer in America, and while it and Arrowhead go back and forth as far as the loudest crowd in the NFL, Seattle has far more passion for Association Football (their local club, the Sounders, put EPL attendence to shame a lot of the time).

The only stadium that trully deserves to host the final is the Aztec Stadium in Mexico City. It's one of the most legendary football stadiums in the world. It already hosted 2 worldcup finals where the greatests players of all time became champions. The King Pele won is last worldcup in 1970 and Maradona in 1986 both in the Aztec Stadium. I know this wont happen even if the Aztec Stadium is the only true foootball stadium there but I hope the opening ceremony and game is at lest there!

The next best venue for the World Cup Final is the new stadium in Monterrey, MX. it seats 53,500 and probably provides a better fan experience. It will be used for WC play.

Also in 1994 a Brazilian team won the WC Final game where? At the Granddaddy of ‘em all! The Rose Bowl.

​@@luisroman3 I mean, yes, it would be cool because of the history, but there is no way that i would put the Azteca before the Sofi stadium or the AT&T Stadium. Anyone who has been to either stadium knows why I am saying that. They are unmatched, technological works of art.
