Soon enough, Latin America will have a new stadium Recently, Flamengo has bought a terrain in Rio's downtown to make its own stadium. The area used to be a gas holder and Flamengo expects to build a stadium between 70 to 80 thousand seats. The soccer team is elaborating the project for now and once it's ready, it will go after the building permits and the funds to start building the stadium, expecting to inaugurate it in late 2029
