Stadtbahn are, basically, trams going underground in city centres, aren't they? They are mostly found in Germany, Netherlands and Belgium, right?

It's more the other way around. It is a subway that can be a tram.

@@ZiggyFS Yet all stadtbahn we see on KZbin appear to be underground stations served by trams. No underground/high capacity trains in fact.

I think the official global name for this kind of transit system is light rail. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_tram_and_light_rail_transit_systems I started to include some cities without a full metro network because it's not so easy to travel around these days... From these cities I picked the underground stations for my videos because they are more interesting, but there are stations above ground as well. But the name 'Stadtbahn' is only used in German speaking countries as far as I know.

Stadtbahn are kind of hybrid between "heavy" underground trains and trams, often because the citys wanted to convert their tram system into a metro, but they can serve both kinds of stations with their folding steps, although not barrier-free on tram stations. The size of vehicle doesn´t that matter BTW - most Stadtbahn trains have the same measurements as the large profile trains of the Berlin metro. Therefore they are even wider than some real metro trains, like the small profile in Berlin and Hamburg as a whole.
