Stage 1 Volkswagen Polo BlueGT chasing Mercedes C63 AMG

My RacingLine OEM+ Stage 1 tuned Volkswagen Polo BlueGT keeping up with a Mercedes C63 AMG around Donington Park Circuit!
I'm sure the AMG driver was understandably taking it very easy whereas I was pushing on very hard but still very impressive for a little 1.4 TSI Polo!
My Polo is running a Stage 1 tune, Milltek Sport cat-back exhaust, K&N panel filter and is sitting on a set of Eibach lowering springs.

Cracking little cars! I’m running 184bhp and 320nm on a stage 1! Cannot complain for a 1.4

@@V1PERB3ATZ Not a bad word to say, great little motor, was worried stage 1 and the ACT. Not missed a beat since I had it 👍🏼

@@PyroNut94 is the act the cylinder technology thing? And can u stage 1 and still have it go to 2 cylinders when u want to be economic?

@@V1PERB3ATZ Yeahh it’s called Active Cylinder Technology, Where it shuts off cylinders 2 & 3 when using light throttle loads. The stage 1 doesn’t affect it at all, when just gently driving around it kicks in. Even if you’re doing 70+ it will kick in. I got Mine mapped by Mapro in southampton. Had about 5 dyno runs and the tune feels very OEM plus and linear. Check them out, really knowledgable guys down there. The limiting factor with the 1.4TSI is trying to keep intake temps down. It’s not a standard intercooler style cooling system. Just means you can’t push too hard without changing hardware. But a stage 1 will see around the 180-185bhp mark with stock hardware 👍🏼

@@PyroNut94 thanks for the info. I live in north London I’ll check them out if I get it which I hope I do. Some people said that 150bhp is already a lot for a 1.4 and a stage 1 might be a bit too much for the engine that’s why I was wondering.
