One of the best explanations of gains and tuning and dsp!! Very easy to understand for the beginner. Answered a lot of my questions. I wanted the dsr1 but couldn’t find one anywhere to buy. Microchip shortage

Awesome info Brother D, That’s Real Talk there brother, I love true fidelity myself, been chasing it since 1968. I just added that dsp to my stage 2 four speaker upgrade on my 201 Street Glide and when I spend good money I want the best too. I’m gonna subscribed and keep in touch with you, I went with the Hertz Sho Speaker package and JL Amps. I had My installer contact NVS Audio, Carlos too because I wasn’t satisfied with their tune either. I’m still experiencing a faint hiss when I turn it on and I’m told that’s normal the installer said Carlos told him, but I haven’t heard back from Carlos myself on that. I know this video is old, but i had the speakers replaced in the faring. Then saddlebags lid speakers with 1000.4 amp all are cicadas. Don’t sound like I think it should. I bought a Dsp a guy is going to flash and install, tune it. I’m hoping that it makes a difference.

I’m running that exact same setup man, but no dsr1 one of my diamonds blew still a lot of clipping too. I’m going to order a dsr1

Yeah the dsp coulda prevented that. Good choice you wont regret it.

I like the way you just broke that down I really learned something bro... I heard that the yellow basket Ground Zero was a great 6.5 for bass. what would you recommend as great 6 X 9 for bass if you don't have Subs in your bags? A good 6 by 9 that play low as well?
@dionne6813 жыл бұрын
The would get the Diamond MSCX 6X9 COAXSUB. Mines play really low for a 6X9 and plays great high frequencies and can handle more power than im currently feeding them. Be advised the bass is punchy. 6x9s can only give you so much bass, for great bass you should get a "8 and phenomenal bass a "10.

Hey bruh! Nice video and i like your set up. Question: So i have a 2012 RG that I’ve been building up. I’m running (6) speakers-2 6.5’s and (4) 6x9’s. My amp is a Biketronics BT4180 with no gain settings or adjustments but it’s powerful ( 180 rms) how can i use a dsp on this set up ?

I have that same SD1200.4 evox in my bike running 2 horns 2 6.5 hertz up front and 2 horns and 2 8inch hertz in my lids. I have only had this set up for 10 months within the first 3 months I blew a Chanel in that amp. My shop replaced it with a new one. Now after winter storage I rode 1 time in spring now and I believe I blew another channel in my replacement amp. ( rear bag this time ) my question is, have you had any issues or heard of any issues with that amp? I don’t believe They put a DSP in. Could this be the issue of blowing channels? Or Do I have bad luck twice?
@dionne6813 жыл бұрын
Not sure which channel blew. Id say Yes not having a dsp was the issue. I believe a 1200.4 is too much power for the horns. I do know for a fact hertz 6.5 and 8s can handle 300-400watts easily with a dsp therefore it should be able to handle 200 watts from the 1200.4amp safely which i still use a dsp to tune the sound to perfection.

Newbie question for everyone. Are their specific reasons why people dont run all of one brand of speakers on their bikes? I always see people with 6.5s, 8s, 10s, etc and its rare that they are all the same brand.
@dionne6813 жыл бұрын
Good question. The reason is audio technology is always evolving and newer more advanced speakers are being introduced to the market that offer different frequencies and wattage. The goal is to achieve a specific sound on your bike. More bass, More highs or output overall and sometimes a different brand might carry and speaker that compliments your setup and budget alot better.

What the hell 😆 what are trying say? Normally I'd just move on though you got me *lol* at hmmmm... I'll have to try and spell it : E Q U I V A C A T E ? You don't even know what that means and it's obvious you don't know what your talking about. Keep it simple sir... best critique is don't try and come off expert ... your no expert/audiophile by a long shot and that's obvious. It's clear you are very passionate about motorcycle audio and admire your enthusiasm and want to encourage that... keep learning and promoting motorcycle audio... Just keeping it real and "SO" should you... Hopeful you don't take my comments the wrong way... sure there may be some flack.
