I was diagnosed with esophageal cancer in April of 2022 at the age of 49. I had a stage 3 tumor where my esophagus and stomach meet. I had chemotherapy, radiation and surgery to remove the tumor in August of 2022. A portion of my esophagus was removed as well as half of my stomach ( 16cm) The surgeon did a gastric pull up where basically the remaining stomach was pulled up and attached to the remaining esophagus. My stomach is more of a tube now instead of a pouch. I’ve been a weight lifter for the last 35 years so I was physically in decent shape. I was 230 lbs when diagnosed and dropped all the way down to 180 lbs after the surgery. I lost all of my muscle mass during the recovery. There were some complications from the surgery so I was unable to eat anything by mouth for 8 weeks. I was fed intravenously through a picc line in my arm. I was finally able to start eating solid food around November of 2022. It was rough at times but I’ve slowly been able to put a little weight back on. I started carnivore 12 days ago mainly to get rid of inflammation and gain energy. I was a very lean 187 lbs when I started and since then I’ve lost about four lbs. I notice a drastic improvement in my knee and back pain almost immediately. I’m hoping to maybe put a few pounds back on once I get acclimated to the new way of eating. My faith in Jesus Christ was my strength throughout this journey! I hope everyone has a very blessed day!

The more we flood the internet with indisputable positive outcomes with this lifestyle changes, the more people without hope can live better and have more life in their day. I now have 6 brain tumours - gave me 3wks, 4mths now with tumours reducing. Nearly died twice, slowly getting stronger again and going back to the gym with a physiotherapist to enable me to slowly go back to powerlifting. Weight has dropped from 155kg to 92kg (getting lean like I was at 18) 👍🏾👍🏾💪🏾 Full Carnivore with assistance of medication at the moment. Hello Jeff, thank you for sharing your story with us. I’m lying in bed with a heating pad on my abdomen working my way through a bout of diverticulitis. I’m 64 yoa and I’ve been an RN for 42 years. I started a low oxalate diet a year and 9 months ago in this year I’ve transitioned to near 90% carnivore. I still drink coffee with stevia. After watching you today I think you’ve inspired me to give the coffee and stevia up. I have a history of prolapse that was repaired by mesh that triggered a foreign body response which lead to mesh removal and pelvic floor repair. I believe that I have a lot of oxalate stored in my pelvic scar tissue and thus I’m experiencing a lot of oxalate dumping via bowel and bladder and pelvic pain. I’ve had three bouts of diverticulitis since going low oxalate that have all occurred from me adding back foods that are high oxalate. Last weekend my grand babes were visiting and I ate a gluten free bun, some chocolate and I tried a cup of tea trying to reduce my pelvic pain instead it all triggered another week long bout of pain and diarrhea. Ugh! I need to learn and remember my lesson to Stay Carnivore! Your journey is interesting and very inspirational! You will reach and help many others through sharing your story! My husband died 15 years ago from lung cancer. He did all the treatments and we even traveled to The NIH Cancer center for clinical trials but the chemo just made him sicker, his cancer was non operable. I remember back then that I found articles on the NIH research sites about studies of sugar feeding cancer. My husband was very physically fit, he worked construction and on our farm but he drank sugary coffee and ate snickers bars all day trying to balance out his blood sugar because he drank lots of beer every night plus ice cream every night. I wish I would’ve known about carnivore back then instead we had the same hospital experience with the cookies and juice which my husband craved when he took the steroids with chemo. Dr. Seyfried is so right on about cancer being metabolic illness. I’ve had my anger about all the many years I have educated patients with wrong information and so much I learned as a nurse about nutrition was so wrong! Well now I need to heal myself. I have had some great benefits from carnivore but the oxalate dumping has been a serious struggle for me. I’ve lost 15 lbs and need about 50 more off. I no longer have Fibromyalgia or Pre Diabetes. I became your 261st subscriber today and I look forward to following your journey. I will lift you in my daily prayers for great success in your healing. 🙏❤️

I’m on day 4 of giving up coffee with cream (this is my 2nd time, I gave it up for the month of July but then started drinking it again in August). I eliminated the stevia a few weeks prior. It’s a challenging first week but it will be worth it in the end!! Getting rid of that final plant influence makes your carnivore experience so much better!!! You can do it!!! Happy healing to you!!

@@rochellestark9767 I’ve tried stopping coffee about three times now. The second time I made it for about four days. For me coffee is so much more that just a tasty drink. I have a really cute turquoise colored coffee pot and so many favorite mugs. It’s my morning routine to wake up early and sip on a warm cozy cup while I do my Bible study. It has been a way that I could still socialize in public since I very rarely eat at a restaurant due to being carnivore. Meeting people for coffee was my one normal activity I still did with friends. I know I can give it up because I had a light bulb moment while listening to Jeff’s story and I remembered that my husband drank sweet coffee all day long and it was probably fueling his cancer. I also recently heard a video where the doctor said that coffee is a diuretic and that it pulls sodium and calcium from your body leading to dehydration issues. Well I think that the coffee or stevia or both is irritating my bowel and bladder and keeping me from healing and feeling good on this way of eating. I’ll have to change my routine and suggest friends meet up to walk or drink water. It will be hard with cold weather coming but I want to feel better more than having that cozy cup. Thank you for your response. Sorry I’m so wordy but I’ve been home alone feeling yucky for a week and I’ve truly appreciated your kindness.

I just had breast bx positive for invasive ductal carcinoma estrogen and progesterone positive, her negative. Trying to make decision on lumpectomy vs mastectomy.those were choices given to me. It is small 7x9 mm. My problem is my mother had triple neg metastatic breast cancer that had spread everywhere and passed away last year. I thought I had made up my mind to have lumpectomy due to my age 68 and recovery time and my husband having neuropathy, cognitive issues. This cancer was found on my yearly Mamogram 1 year from last one. We have both been doing very low carb, keto for around a year both of our a1c are now down to 5.7. He struggled to keep his weight on and I have lost around 25 lbs but have at least 50 more to go but weight loss has slowed down. Surgery is pending this next week but at this point just praying making right decision on lumpectomy or mastectomy.

Ensure is full of canola oil. When I had surgery at a VA Hospital, breakfast was pancakes, 1 egg, 1 sausage link, cornflakes, milk, coffee, orange juice. That was their DIET breakfast! When I mentioned all the carbs, the nurse told me they should have given me sugar-free syrup. 🤬🤬🤬 I ate the egg, sausage, and milk. The anesthesiologist was on board with my complaint when she came to check on me. Even before I started carnivore, I didn't eat a lot of sugary stuff.

I am a 78-year-old male; when I was 54, I cured my ulcerative colitis by going on an Atkins carnivorish diet. It doesn't happen instantly, but give it 90 to 180 days, and it will be gone or significantly improved. My case was so severe that it took about 6 to 8 months before it was gone. My doctor was angry with me and dropped me as a patient because I refused to take his medication 22 years ago, and I have not had a problem. The only thing I have changed is increased good, healthy fats and Protein. About 70% fat and 30% protein. Also, my gout, which I have suffered from since I was in my mid-30s, is not better; it's gone. That didn't happen until I changed the ratio of fat to Protein. Much of what I thought was gout was plantar fasciitis, and once the veteran's hospital got me the proper inserts for my shoes, 90% of what I thought was gout disappeared; the other 10%, I believe, was caused by things like high fructose corn syrup. It doesn't take much! Dr. Chafee, talks, explains what I have done wrong over the years.

This is a tremendous interview--I want to be best friends with both of you. I'm an OMAD, Carnivore/Lion Diet, stage three anal cancer survivor. Not a pretty disease, trust me. I was diagnosed in early 2021 after being keto/carnivore for three years and in no way blame this diet for my cancer; I had a reckless past rife with smoking, copious amounts of booze and party drugs, and existed eating the worst of the Standard American Diet, all while competing in triathlons and other extreme activities. If anything, cancer strengthened my resolve which is the reason for abandoning the keto aspect of my diet, and provoked me into Carnivore/Lion. On carnivore days I eat any meat along with plenty of eggs; on Lion days, I only eat beef of any cut; this is what I call diversity! I never tire of it. Hearing Jeff's story encourages me to keep on this path. One thing I would like to add, keep making athletic-based goals for the future. When suffering illness, exercise, nature and plenty of sunshine along with adequate sleep and a healthy carnivore diet are life savers.The fact that I'm still here, proves it. Great job, guys!

@@ernesthader1109 Thanks, man, will do. So far, so good. Switching to the Lion Diet has been a game changer. I love all things beef, and the only reason I ever slipped back into eating veg was the brainwashing of a lifelong mantra of 'eat your vegetables.' No more. Hell, I don't even like them. Side note: I'm very goal-oriented; health and the next triathlon are what get me out of bed in the morning. As long as I have something to work toward, I'm going to be alright. If things go south, well, I've been down that road before and made my peace with the ultimate fate in store for all of us. That said, when I envision that final day, I want to be in the best shape possible and do a double backflip into my grave, slamming the lid shut with the strength of my big toe! Peace, bud!

@@kiethj7 nurses and others caught a lot of flack for trying to teach people about the real science about masking, HCQ/ivermectin and Dr. Zelenko and Dr. McCullough‘s protocols, along with common sense about vitamin D, zinc, using quercetin if they couldn’t get HCQ, how to use a pulse ox amateur that they can buy online to monitor their oxygen saturation at home, find the resting position they gave them the best numbers while they were sick. so many of them didn’t know better, I just wanted to believe their doctor about that, about the shots (even though I explained that it was too soon to understand long-term side effects, too soon to play around with a technology that killed a lot of it subjects in the lab). just one person came back and admitted they were wrong in a sideways sort of way. They texted a video of Dr. McCullough testifying in Europe, (not to me, but to the relative who took my advice in detail and applied it) saying that now they understood why the person they sent it to never got sick.

Yeah, and if you are ever in the hospital, you will be fed 99% carbohydrates. Fruit juices, candied fruit, oatmeal, fruit, mashed potatoes with gravy, bread. The only thing worth eating is the 3 ounce piece of salmon ( probably farm raised) and the tiny pad of butter they might put on your dish. You're there supposedly to heal. So why are they feeding people this crap?

My husband and I have no carnivore friends either...we have to pick each other up when we are doubting our decision. I have a friend who has had cancer twice and has been told she has some new "lesions". I told her that sugar feeds cancer and she just looks at me. I have asked her if she has considered alternative "treatment" and her reply was Well, I think I will stick with my doctor since she has cured me twice" I asked her if she heard what she just said because the lesions are the start of the cancer coming back. Friends and family think carnivore is a crazy way to eat. My brother has gout sometimes, his wife has crones as potentially does one of their daughters...both daughters are vegan and have put on a ton of weight....they think they are eating healthy.

I’m not a physician, nor am I giving anyone medical advice, however, I’ve always felt having surgery almost guarantees a return. Imagine you are cutting into the tumors, of course cells will detach and move to other parts of the body. It just seems logical, this is a poor treatment option. They must figure a way to isolate the cells / tumors before removing them. Thought about some sort of freezing technique. There must be a way to keep them intact while removing, we’re just not there yet.

I love your positive attitude. Your mindset is just as important as your diet and exercise. I had a very similar experience including insisting on a colonoscopy. 3 polyp. Growth in sigmoid. Adenocarcinoma with spot on liver. At first i declined any treatment but eventually took the surgery but declined the chemo. After a couple nervous breakdowns I finally got my mind in a very positive place. I cut out all sugars and fructose. Look into natural earthing, not any of these contraptions they sell but just plain ol walking barefoot in the grass. Going on over 3 years now. Im going to look into the carnivore diet and fasting. Thank you for your inspiration.

I have just been diagnosed with cervical cancer. I have been true keto for almost 7 years now. The only variable is I had the first 2 Pfizer shots. What I have learned is those who had the shots are exhibiting a greatly increased level of cancers now appearing. I have an MRI on Monday and meet with the oncologist on Wednesday. I have gone carnivore and am in the process of learning how to combine fasting with treatments.

@MichaelWarchol
@MichaelWarchol Жыл бұрын
Being a teacher, you should know better than to suggest that turbo or any other cancers can be linked to the Covid vax. Cancer diagnosis may have increased due to the fact that during the pandemic, people were not seeing doctors. It’s foolish to make that assumption about the vax. Ifs also foolish to assume that a carnivore diet will cure cancers. A healthy diet (excluding carnivore) may help to reduce the risk of cancer from developing, but it’s not going to cure it.

Hi Kerry and Jeff..Maggie here. PLEASE KEEP THESE PODCASTS COMING!! It's pretty obvious that you, Jeff , are on the road to recovery . Color Genomics is an at-home genetic cancer screening test I did years back - to check for any major mutations.

😢 Your post broke my heart 💔 I realize starting carnivore can cause such confusion with all the people with their positive content of miraculous weight loss & healing. It can make us struggles feel like we are doing something wrong or worse that we are unhealable. This could be no further from the truth. No matter how fast or slow our journey outcomes are, we are ALL in a healing state. I've been carnivore for 4 months & my journey has been so slow as far as weight-loss. I've tweaked my diet & tried others suggestions only to increase my weight & feel so down & out. Yet I seem to forget I am in a healing process and this takes time. I'm a 64 yr old t2d female and started this way of eating to lose weight & reverse my type 2. I was 198 pounds 5'3 and today 4 months later I'm 184 pounds. All my weight loss came in the first 2 months, I've been 181 to 184 since then. I got really discouraged with not losing like others, forgetting about improving t2d as being more important than weight. My advice (not professional by any means) relax & know you are on a healing journey & each new day you are getting closer from the inside out not the outside in. Good luck & God Bless ❤

I wish Jeff all the best. I'm going to maybe sound harsh here, but I don't mean to - I'm saying this only to help other people with cancer. I don't know why I'm halfway through and neither of you have mentioned Thomas Seyfried. Did I get distracted and just not hear it? Have neither of you heard of him? Maybe it's an oversight. Maybe you're about to mention him, but this is a long video - and ... I'm amazed that you haven't at least mentioned him by this point, so people with a similar problem can look him up. He's amazing on cancer and restricting carbs to try to sort of "starve" tumor cells of the glucose they need (can't totally starve them, but can possibly starve them enough to disrupt them and gain, possibly, much more life). EDIT - okay, this is funny. Jeff mentioned him like 20 seconds after I paused the video to write the above! Well done. I just hope people who need to know about Seyfried get this far in. Again, I don't mean to sound harsh or critical - sorry if I do. I just want to help people with cancer. That's all. I know someone with prostate cancer who won't do keto, and I'm afraid he's shortening his life. So frustrating, but it's his life. Nothing I can do except pray for him.
