There was a glitch like this in Brawl as well, if you had a custom stage with only four falling blocks and they all disappeared, the A.I. would completely stop dead in its tracks because it had no terrain to move to. Wouldn't even try to Up-B. I'm guessing because all of those platforms are on lava, they don't think there is any zone to actually move to.

Maybe they're scared of the lava, but the floor isn't thick enough for their AI to register that it's fine

I can explain this (I think) basically it thinks it’s on the lava, so it is trying to flee to a spot with no lava so it doesn’t hit the lava. But it has no spot to go to so it is calculating a spot to go to.

Cause they think the lava is about to touch them, and give into it's attack? Or maybe cause they don't think there's a platform for them to go to.

This obviously works because of that lava you put down. The CPU's only go for safe surfaces, and because of the way that the lava is placed, it doesn't try to go for any surface due to there being "no safe surfaces to land on". This is also why lava placed on the exact same land as normal land sometimes lets you walk on it without getting damaged.

In my opinion I think this is happening because: The CPU/amiibo would think that is a dangerous zone were to walk. So they stay, walk or even fall, jump out of the stage

I recreated the stage but the CPU runs to the right and kos itself o_O ???! edit: ok it was just test. If you test and your CPU is running to the right and koing itself you've successfully recreated it.

My guess that since there's lava, the CPU/Amiibo doesn't know where or how to move. Because in it's programming, the floor is quite literally lava.

I had this happen to me too, but I did it by putting lava under and around on three sides of a [thick] platform. I honestly thought I was the only one until I stumbled on this video. I guess it has something to do with lava being directly under the AI no matter where they stand, but I'm not sure why this happens.

First of all, unfortunately it's patched now, and second, you're right. The AI will only go for safe platforms. If the platform isn't thick enough to be considered "completely" safe from the lava, they feel as if they have no place to stand, which confuses the AI because they're standing in a spot that to their mind isn't safe.

Before anyone asks, YES, this got patched. HOWEVER, it can still be recreated by formatting the system and putting in Smash4. Just make sure to back up your save data. And don't whine if you lose your achievments, because you get an OP amiibo in return.
