Hi would you be able to get a video of the eurostar on route from the Depot to St Pancras passing stratford international. I'm very fascinated by the single track viaduct at Stratford international station.

These carriages, if they share bogies, must be physically impossible to uncouple. Oh hand on a minute, yes they can, as at 4:38 there is a single unit in the background!
@SprattyHeath5 жыл бұрын
It can be uncoupled, but the carriages would need supports to keep them balanced.
@BritishTrainspotting Жыл бұрын
vehicles with jacobs bogies require special equipment to be disconnected and cannot run on rails with an end unsupported. They can't be uncoupled as they aren't coupled in the first place. Carriages within a multiple unit are connected very differently to typical couplers you will find at the front of a units cab, used for connecting multiple in service.

The unit in the background is just a loco. The loco cars don’t share bogies with the third powered bogies car and they can split in the middle in case of an emergency. The single loco may be plinthed there tho

Ah, heard about that. I thought it was the heat in the Channel Tunnel that created that.

@SonicbusterX200012 жыл бұрын
really? I thought the train creates hot air in the tunnel, Making it hot. I thing the reason why it is cold may the the ventlation system, or the fans blowing cold air.
