I bought one a few days ago and tried it out but even after I tuned it it keeps on tuning into the wrong note as I play it can someone tell me what’s happening?

I assume that on your violin the pegs are not pushed in all the way, which is why the violin very quickly loses tune. To fix it you just need to gently push them in while rotating in both directions.

@@user-yi2df5eq2t thanks for the reply, I don’t have the violin anymore due to the quality. But I would like to add I did try that and replaced the pegs but it still kept untuning itself. thanks a lot though!

I could be a bit late with this, but if it’s a new violin, even a mid-to-higher end one like this, the strings need time to settle and stretch. You will constantly be having to tune it when you first buy it, but if kept in the same conditions of atmosphere on a regular basis, you shouldn’t see this problem for longer than a free months once the strings start to settle to their environment. If they continue to go out of tune then you could need some pitch for your tuning pegs, or you will just need to take it to a proper luthier to have it looked at. But strings going out of tune for a while isn’t an uncommon thing at all. It continuing to happen is. Hope this helps in some way.
