Jimin said since he wasn't able to get vocal training before their debut and since their debut he was too busy, that when he went on break that he was starting from the beginning and learn how to sing in a safer way that would allow him to be able to have a longer career.

clip 1: they are singing in Japanese, likely at a Japan concert clip 3: there is NOT any alteration to jimin's voice. it is artifacts of the recording.

It's not "artifacts of recordings" there is definetly reverb and some kind of frequency pass on his mic. (but no pitch correction, autotune or anything of sorts)

My daughter has perfect pitch, and she hears when special effects are added. She turned around when she heard Jimin, and said “autotune!”. It might not be autotune, but there’s definitely an effect, I heard it too, but I trust my daughters hearing more than mine

Thanks to erume for the compilation! 8:53: Jimin's blockbuster song of July 2024, "Who" title track on album "Muse". The MV lets you hear how his voice was altered. However, there is a live performance without all that which is lovely. 14:45: "Who" in the development stage. You said he was adding oral twang. In an conversation with RM ("Minimoni") he talks about getting singing lessons in 2024 so he could continue to sing longer (thought he'd mess up his voice if he kept singing the old way). The next and last clip 15:55 when you say that this is how he used to sing, is the title track "Like Crazy" from his previous album "Face", released a year earlier, presumably before the lessons to change his singing voice a bit to preserve it for future years. There are live performances of that too. Lastly, I would second the suggestion to watch the live performance by Jimin of "Rebirth" and "Slow Dance" (latter featuring Sofia Carson) on a rooftop in Seoul with a live band . You will not regret it. Hope your toe heals quickly.

Jimin has been talking about learning some new techniques that will help the longterm health of his voice. We also saw Jungkook in his documentary using some technique with a straw. He talked about Sam Smith having used the technique to regain his voice at some point.

That song was ‘Who’ by Jimin. One of my favourite 2024 songs along with ‘Happy’ Jin’s album, which is Five Rock based songs and one with just him and a piano slow song where his voice shines. I think there will be songs on it that will surprise you plus a collaboration with Wendy from ‘Red Velvet’ K Pop group. Worth a listen too. I would love to hear your views. Also the day after his discharge from the military he hugged 1000 fans and had a mini performance where he sang three songs brilliantly considering he had not performed for nearly two years.

Thanks for your authentic, professional analysis. Jin is my favorite vocalist and I agree that he is highly underrepresented in many of their songs. To me, his power is only matched by a few singers such as Ronnie James Dio. He is also very underrated as a songwriter in my opinion. Epiphany and Moon are 2 of my favorite solos and I love his new album Happy. My favorite lullaby that I use is Winter Bear by V. It just makes you feel warm and cozy. Borahae 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

In the clip where Jimin is singing “Who,” you said you could hear he had been working on his voice. This clip was AFTER he worked with a vocal coach to reform how he sings (he was damaging his vocal cords the old way). In the following clip of him singing “Like Crazy,” where you said he went back to the lighter way. Well, that was BEFORE he reformed how he sang! He worked with the vocal coach between the two albums. He said that they couldn’t completely change how he sang because he had to be able to sing the old BTS songs. (FYI, you should react to “Who”-it’s still charting!)

The one where the single singer was Jimin not Ji, the song is called Who and it deos have some intentional autotune, it is from his Muse EP, and the song was on the blllboard hot 100 for 23 weeks, it came in July and has been charting ever sense, he performed it live on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.His album is called Muse, and he also did performance of some of the other songs on it. I do t know if you know this or not but the majority of the time when you’re hearing Harmony and Adlibs you’re hearing Jk because he does all of them even in their solos, also his solos on recordings RM has said it was on a backstage clip where Jk had gotten hurt and they didn’t know if he could perform or not but he said that if something were to happen to JK there wouldn’t be any Bts because of all the stuff in the background that JK does the harmony in the ad libs and he knows all the choreography. He knows all the parts if somebody can’t sing apart, and he is doing this with him with Suga he could fill-in for I mean JK can seen rap pop anything No matter what genre JK can sing it.

That ," Noise," was Suga . Both Suga and RM will clown on stage trying to sing high. Army always loves when they goof. Jin can belt in any range, just you wait. Also Jin has the biggest range a full 3 octaves and a bit more. That clip of Jimin singing Who was on a reg mic. playing with the arrangement, trying to decide what he wanted to do.There was nothing on the mic, and that was unfiltered. Just Jimin trying stuff out on a karaoke mic. So maybe a little echo.
