Yes he explains it so well! I did not think of it like this. But it explains why they are so good at trading off verses like they do! If you think about it, the writers of their songs have quite a challenge to fit in 7 voices in nearly every song. And Sam may not know that JK does all of the vocal guides for every new song. They all rely on him and his range so much! I also read recently that he does so much of the backing tracks. He is all over their songs.

All of them except for Jin have released solo albums this past year. Jin released a single in collaboration with Coldplay called The Astronaut. In order, RM released the album Indigo (I HIGHLY recommend the music video for Wildflower from that album), Suga released D-Day and went on a tour (I got to see him in concert!), J-Hope released Jack in the Box, Jimin released Face (I'm sure you'd love his song Like Crazy), V released Layover (and he has a music video for every single song on it, lol. But also did several beautiful live performances including Tiny Desk Korea, which is my favorite), and Jungkook released Golden (the best known song on it is probably Seven, but my personal favorites are Hate You and Shot Glass of Tears). All of them are now currently fulfilling their mandatory service in the Korean military. They will all be out of the military and reunited in 2025. They've all re-signed contracts with BigHit and indicated their intentions to continue as a group once they all return. Jin, who enlisted earlier than the rest, will be out this year, and I expect he'll do some solo work and release a solo album of his own once he is out.

I love your answer but got a bit confused with your "in order" because the timeline is of before I realized you ment their "chanting order": leader first than age. Because in the timeline J-Hope dropped first (after Proof), than we get Jin's goodbye and RM's album Indigo still in 2022 - with a few songs/collabs in between. Than we get Jimin's album, Suga's, in the summer a song by JK, V's album and than JK (that includes also the summer song). And more solo stuff/collabs. And there is also "Take Two" from BTS in the summer of 2023. They always drop so much!

J-Hope was also the first Korean artist to headline Lollapalooza in Chicago in July, 2022! That's where he met his idol, J. Cole, who he later collaborated with on his "goodbye" song, "On The Street" before he went to the military. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

So much solo content you've missed. They are all now enlisted. Jin will be back as of June and by June/25 they will all be back. Mikrokosmos was a great song to come back to. I really enjoyed your explanation of the difference between falsetto and head voice for example. I can't believe, it never occurred to me before that they adjust their voices to lead into the next artist, I just knew the transitions were seamless. Thanks for pointing that out. I love your reactions! The boys are now all doing their mandatory military service. Jin comes back in June, Hobi in October. The rest in June of 2025. They have all done some solo. Please look at: Jin - Astronaut live with Coldplay J-Hope solo - he headlined at lollapalooza RM - tiny desk Suga - he did a world solo tour. So many great live clips from that Jimins solo work is great V - released a jazzy EP and his Tiny desk is a masterclasS JK - the usher remix is great. He also did a small surprise concert in Times Square. He released an album entirely in English. Our baby has grown up!

So glad to have you back to BTS. There's lots of solo music from them you've missed. It's hard to list. For JK's recent album, I recommend the iHeart radio versions; for V, the Tiny Desk Korea is great, among his many live performances. Both did a lot of live performances. Jimin, RM, Suga, all have albums and live performances of them. Jin's astronaut live in Argentina would be great to react to. J-hope at Lollapalooza. The solo chapter has allowed them to explore their individual voices more, so that should be fun for you!

This is probably my favorite performance of Mikrokosmos... It's such a beautiful song and they're really in the moment with it here. I love that you pointed out how they modify their voices for handoffs! They do it to blend too in songs with a lot of harmonies. It's so cool that they've worked to develop such distinct voices but also to make sure their voices can meld together well. 💜

Good to see you again. Jin did a collab with Coldplay (also live on in a stadium in South America). Rm made an lp (tiny disk session), Jhope made also a lp (lollapalooza also a documentary), Jimin did a lp (Jimmy fallon) and a documentary , V made a lp (tiny desk session), JK a lp (I heart performance or the one at times square). Suga did a lp, documentary, talk show (suchwita) and a concert series.

My favorite part of the song is that sing song thing RM does at the start of the second lyric. It’s a kind of seen here… but in the recorded single, it has this real jaunty and lively kind of flow. It’s just full of joy and life.

This was one of the final concerts in their love yourself/speak yourself tour and it was a concert/album series that meant a lot to all of them so jin likely was a little teary eyed, theres a video from the very last concert where rm is crying while giving his final speech, which was and still is very abnormal because he very rarely cries in front of armys, and it was vecause he was sad the era was ending

They are all completing their military service right now (with Jin out in June and J-Hope in October this year) but they all worked on their solo work before enlisting. There's a lot there for you to listen to, all different types of work but all just as good as their group work!!

Hi! I’m so happy you’re back with bts, I missed your videos!! Mikrokosmos is one of my favourite bts songs ever. This performance was their last in-person performance (end of 2019) before their forced break from touring during covid, so it was very special. Jin does bring a lot of emotions out during his performances, I always think he’s so emotionally expressive and genuine when he sings (he might have been tearing up here, they didn’t know it would be their last concert in a long time but they did know it was the end of the tour and it must have made them emotional too.) I love their harmonies too!! I think it’s always a hard balancing act for BTS’ arrangements: since they dance so much it’s easier for only one person to sing at a time (alternating lines between the four of them) so the others can have space to breathe through their choreos. But in songs with no choreography like this they have a lot more freedom to add vocal harmonies and adlibs etc :) I hope you watch more BTS videos, they’ve all been very busy in the past year as everyone else will have also told you 😅 (Jin will come out of the military this June 2024 by the way, so you still have 5 months to catch up on things before then 😆)

Yay! I really like your breakdowns of their voices. So happy to see another BTS video from you. I think you would like their performance of the song Take Two (2023 Festa Live Clip). They harmonize a lot in that song too and I think the emotion in their voice is so beautiful. It was released as a gift for army during the annual 2 week celebration of their anniversary (Festa) after they had already announced their hiatus in 2022. During the "hiatus" all 7 members officially debuted their solo music and then enlisted to serve. It was nice that even after their hiatus they still continue to release content with all 7 of them together. All the members are now doing their military service, the last ones enlisting last month. Jin is going to be back in June so we all are really excited for his return.

All of the 'boys' are now serving in the military. You must do all the solo work. I won't repeat the information that is already listed. Each of them explored different music genres so there is much to explore from a sound standpoint. I am OT7 so I want you to look at everyone's solo work. It's plenty to keep you busy. There are a ton of live performances for each of the solos. I definitely recommend the Tiny Desk performances for RM and for V. In addition, V did a duet with IU on her show and IU is releasing a music video/Film with V on the 24th. We don't know if it is a duet or if he is simply appearing in the MV as an actor/character.

Yay glad to see another BTS reaction! This is one of the first live videos of them I saw and I cried. 😢 As others have said they all have solo stuff for you to check out! I'm happy I got to see all of them in Vegas, and Suga in Chicago, wish I could have seen JK when he was in the US. His album is all in English and his pronunciation is amazing, definitely check out more than the singles from his album, Hate You is probably my favorite (even did a cover of it myself). Since your forte is as vocal coach, your interest would most likely be in live performances. All the members have done their own versions in their solo promotions. My suggestions would be: Hobi-Lollapallooza, such a wonderful performance. Hangsang and Arson were just magnificent! Jin- The Astronaut performance with Coldplay in Buenos Aires, 💜 Joon- Live in Seoul, with many of his collaborators on Indigo. Closer and Wildflower are my personal favorites Jimin- Letter (hidden track on Face for Army) for Festa, 💜 Yoongi- Any clips from his World Tour but particularly on last day, 🔥🔥🔥 Tae- Everyone would suggest Tiny Desk Korea and Le Jazz de V, and I agree. However, First Take and his duet with IU on IU’s Palette deserve votes too! Especially with his music video with IU dropping in 2 days JK- Showcase of Golden. My personal favs are Yes or No and Please Don’t Change 🎉

I love Film out as well, I did find a playlist on his channel towards the bottom of all the lists, He did do Film Out as well as Your Eyes Tell a Song from Vocal Line and Rap line and Songs like Mama and Seesaw, Stigma and a lot more I just watched it before this Reaction it was a great reaction I would love to see him react to Stay Gold Live!!

I enjoy other KPOP groups, but you hit it right on the head when you said they work off of each other or transition with each other. It's one of the many things that makes them stand out from the other groups. I can identify each BTS member in songs without seeing them and I can't do that with every member of any other KPOP group. There are standouts in each group that have individual sounds, but not like the individuality of each member of BTS. Thank you for explaining what we are all hearing but not necessarily understanding what we are hearing. Much appreciated.

Love this song! Love the harmonies! They should do more! Please do some of their solo stuff. They do a brilliant job individually. If I am late to the party, please forgive. I have definitely enjoyed their solo work. Definitely a deviation from the group. ( In my humble opinion). you get to appreciate their personal styles. I love jazz, so V’s content has been special, but they are ALL unique and enjoyable!
