They add up the scores and when Jessie J got sick they changed some rules (which everyone agreed to). The votes were limited to the audience alone, if I wasn't mistaken. They count the votes manually, as seen in the episodes

KZ had vocal injury early in her life. She’s very versatile and a complete performer. She had to experiment which vocal range works for her. She used to be a belter but it’s not necessary for her because she is just an amazing talented music artist . She’s got the IT factor. I just love her.

Check out the short Y.Tube video "KZ Tandingan meets Jessie J" which happened earlier on the day of her "Rolling In The Deep" performance. She told Jessie J what an influence she was, and mentioned her past polyps problems. Also, KZ just got married a couple of months ago.

It still boggles my mind that KZ's performance of Royals was voted worst of all the performances on that episode and KZ was eliminated. She did make a few more performances after that including singing with Jessie J in the finale.

This song was big and it had everything in it. But it needed to be big to stand out but it wasn't overly done because it could go there easily. A journey indeed all in a few minutes. So happy you got to hear this SST. Oh and your plants are growing nicely, the one by your mic is doing well.
