I was a huge Staind fan when this album and the one before it came out. I still enjoy the music and when I learned the singer's name I liked it so much that I said if I ever had a son I would name him Aaron. Well, my son Aaron is going to be 17 years old this year.

My mom had this on cassette. I still remember it pretty well - getting up in the mornings to go to school, listening to this cassette in the car on the way there. Doesn't feel like that was over 20 years ago.

How do you get a cassette in the early 2000's? Nothing has been on cassette since the 80's. by late 80's, it was all CDs! Nobody even sold cassettes in 2000's. 😂

You guys should also do some songs from the band Live. Anything off the "Throwing Copper" album or some songs from other albums such as "Dolphin's Cry".

I knew this when you started playing this... Did not know it was Staind. I thought this was Nickleback or something like that ... I do like this! The guitars are heavy - love that! Never listened to lyrics... Don't think they said some of that on the radio...😀 But the lyrics are reflective of how we feel deep down, sometimes. Especially when you're sad and know that someone doesn't like you the same. But you can hear it in his voice. Sometime you need to listen to your "feels". Even when you prefer upbeat songs. Good choice! My kids and i had our hard times. But they appreciate me more now that they are older. I appreciate them because we are not always together!!! ❤

I never got to see Staind. I have all of their albums except for the new one. I had tix to see them in 2020 but covid robbed me of that. I did see Aaron Lewis in 2013 when he was doing his country stuff. It was 2 blocks from my house and free, so I went. More than worth it when he performed this and a few other Staind songs.

Then Arron goes and does a very patriotic song "Am I the only one?", huge contrast....... Give a listen to Cold's song "Bleed" , Aaron sings in this one as well, and its theme is very similar to "Its Been Awhile".

You can hear the Jerry and Layne singing harmony in their voices and everyone has been influenced by someone. Where would have rock gone if Eddie Van Halen hadn’t shown his talent? It’s really sad that there’s nothing called music anymore and I can’t say that I have them on a playlist, but it doesn’t bother me to hear it. It does pull too much Alice In Chains to me and that’s what turns me off is when people try to duplicate something. Overall it’s fine but not anything original by any means.
@correctlyrics Жыл бұрын
Nick, you know a lot of music, but why don't you do songs that none of you guys know? It would be more interesting. You could ask for suggestions and take the ones that get likes and put them into a poll. That way, you'd be doing songs that would get many views and you'd also benefit.

With all due respect, I see this type of comment all the time on music reaction channels. As well-meaning as they are, there’s an aspect that many lose sight of: you’re _not_ the one camera, you’re _not_ the one getting monetized, you’re _not_ the one getting scrutinized for your opinions. Yes, we all have ideas for curating a music channel but we forget that reactors are real ppl. This endeavor is executed is largely by themselves hence the reason you often see all the flubs, deficient research, misnomers. Just let the guys do their thing. ✌🏽
