Why Mike? Why not Adam Gontier or both?
9 жыл бұрын
+Bulsky You know, Adam's not the only member of the band. And Mike got the idea of doing some writing with him, Adam was going to do some solo stuff until he got his call and wrote the songs we listen to since a few months (except for a few "old" songs like Leaving Minnesota). So for me Mike deserves more than Adam for this new project. Don't get me wrong, I really like Adam, I can say he's my idol, but we have to thank Mike for being the one who got the idea of joining with him

@BYTHEMITCH6 жыл бұрын
I've been following Staind and playing their songs for almost their entire career, and their newest album is the first to use not only 7 string guitars, but also Drop A (a pretty strangely normal tuning for them), and F#DbAbDbGbBbEb on Eyes Wide Open, the usual tuning mapped for 7 string but then with the Ab tuned down to F# (of course none of the tabs are right either). As an 8 string guitarist, hearing that low F# stood out immediately! One of my favourite parts of Staind will always be how they could write such beautiful music with such thunderous riffs behind it, and part of that is down to the low tunings and sonic mastery. So I can imagine they added a few more tunings after the last album!
@bradhargis22615 жыл бұрын
@@BYTHEMITCH drop A? You know they've been using G# (Ab) tuning since dysfunction.
