Stained glass effect and then put inside a shape to create an inlay. (Sort of)
I used Premo White Translucent clay with various alcohol inks.
This one I used white and turquoise inks. The veneer that I made before this was ginger, turquoise, valencia, and white inks.
for all your cutter needs...

I’m always amazed how well your cutters cut. Effortlessly. These earrings are cool and trendy.

Copper would look so good with the first veneer. This is a cool technique. My mind is whirling with the inspiration.

absolutely fabulous, i can see the whole concept of your ideas, i think with the other pieces antique look would work well and maybe instead of the swirly going right around do half to 3/4 and possibly slight swirl across a corner might take the nautical away, but all the same they are gorgeous thanks for sharing have a great day

Antique white. Or almond or vanilla color would be stunning. The rope on it makes it look nautical. That being said thank you for you, and your videos.

Sio, my personal opinion… I love the silver! It creates a subtle sheen. Quite elegant. I’m going to try your technique but with a ornament/sun catcher. Secondly, I love your silver tools! Can you tell me where you got them? High quality tools are essential to creating well. Thirdly, you made your cutters? Do you have a tutorial on it? Please?!

Just found your channel & am a new subscriber. I enjoy your videos & ordered some cutters from you last night. Since nautical or beach themed may be weathered, I will try the paint in white but dry brush some white and wipe off so it leaves it in the depressions and hopefullt gives a weathered appearance. I think I will go lighter for the frames, eg. more lighter tropical/beachy blue green (light-blue turquoise). I like the rope, but I wish I had tiny shell molds (more beach, less nautical). It is really fun to watch you problem solve - as I am newer to polymer clay, it is helpful to see real step-by-step vs. apparent perfection on the first try videos. I am learning a lot from you and your processes. Thank you.

Try DRY brushing the silver...then either gently run an ever-so-slightly damp cloth or paper towel over the high points of the design around the piece. However since you can't seem to handle acrylic paint (way too much water), you might consider using Mini Metallics by NRCO (they have a couple of different pallets with 7 colors in each pallet...IF they're still in business, OR Pearl Ex powdered Pigments By Jacquard, OR one of my favorites, Rub & Buff which is a wax in a little tube that comes in a number of metallic colors..... in ALL cases, I would apply any of them with a dry brush and VERY little on the brush....if you don't want a heavy coat, then you need to stop loading the brush you're using. Then with either a clean, dry brush you can very lightly brush barely the surface of your design...or use a tissue....just don't be heavy-handed.

I just found your channel and I recognized your name from ordering cutters from your Etsy. But I looked and saw you make a lot of canes. Do you ever sell raw canes? I only have the use of one hand so I can’t create canes and I buy canes to incorporate into my creations and would love a new cane source. Thank you for sharing.

I haven't sold any yet. I don't consider myself a pro at it and my storage of my canes is less than desired. I'll be thinking about though. Be better to sell them as I can't possibly use them all
