Gail I did something years ago that was similar but we stamped on the acetate with permanent ink then we colored on the opposite side with Sharpies, then put a piece of glitter paper behind it.

Gail, I want one!!! These are absolutely stunning and so are your nails btw. That phobia, though...I knew I needed dazzling diamonds! I can see the little purple bunches of flowers as earrings, but the card is sweet. Magnolia stamp set is also a favorite of mine. Eager to try this technique too, thank you for sharing!

Gorgeous Gail! I didn't catch Why you use the tissue paper on top after you put the glitter on. Doesn't it stick to the glue? Also, you said your not using the blends or the other SUp markers, what brand are you using? And, will Archival Ink work with this technique? You like Stazon because you don't like the smell or you like the effect better than what brand? What is the best "base ink" for the main stamp you are using blends/Alcohol Markers with for coloring? And using the glycerin to blend the background, but can't you use the blending brushes for it too? And, can I use any kind of glitter or do I need a fine glitter for like the Butterfly stain glass look? Sorry, I have so many questions! LOL!! Thanks Gail, I really love your coloring and creativity, you're the best person to watch, doing all these techniques.

Gail, question. I tried the glitter with the glue but a lot of the glitter adhered to the acetate sheet and did not come off when tapped. Is this normal or did I get the wrong glitter?
@StampwithGailsu5 жыл бұрын
Yes that's normal depending on how much static is on the acetate. You can use your embossing buddy gently on it or just brush it off after it's dry.
@kathygoody10075 жыл бұрын
Thank you for this technique. In regards to the tissue paper. 1. Does it have to be white tissue paper? 2. When you remove the tissue paper does it come off entirely or does the paper remain on the image? Thank you
@StampwithGailsu5 жыл бұрын
The tissue paper does not get removed, it stays there. Using colored tissue paper is a whole other technique. the color will bleed out of the paper into the glue.

If you don't have any alcohol markers, you could try colored permanent markers to color the back. If you mean the little bottles, they are applicator bottles by Darice.

Could you use glossy accents, or any glue that dries clear. This is so cool, love it. 💕👍😊
@StampwithGailsu5 жыл бұрын
I don't see why you can't use any glue that dries clear. I did use the white glue on the butterfly and that is the same concept. I will be doing another video soon with another background with tissue paper. Also, I will do a non live video on the Butterfly with glitter so I can do it in sections as it dries and then edit it all together.

The tissue paper stays on until it's all dry. I had one already made to complete the card.
