you ROCK ! lol! Honestly, you are my hero....I'm a 58 kg 52yr old woman (in Australia) hauling the biggest rocks I can find to build rock walls (for a fence, retaining walls and a pond)...The other day I found a video on using foam so gave up when I saw how time consuming it was braking it up in the vitamiser....went back to my real stones...it kept bugging me that the foam could be used in an easier way...then "wullu" ....I found you...Dear Lord....you are singing my tune! I mean what you did with the dishwasher to fill in the empty side of your spa?pool...whatever... in the hill of your old house! Wow, that's smart!

Thanks. Always very informative. I think I have watched all your videos. What paint to use was the one thing I was confused about. Legend.

Hello, thank you for sharing your knowledge with the world, it's really useful. I've seen you mentioning a product called 'Hydroseal' in your other videos, which you apply where surfaces could be exposed to water. I saw you even have a detailed video where you teach how to apply this product the right way. But I can't find a video where you explain what 'Hydroseal' is. Could you please answer a couple of question? - is 'Hydroseal' a kind of penetrating seal based on silanes/siloxanes? Or is it a concrete densifier like sodium silicate? Or neither? - guessing by the name, 'Hydroseal' has hydrophobic properties, so it repels water, am I right? Bu then how could the next layer - water-based stain - be applied on top of it? Wouldn't it just puddle on top of the 'Hydroseal' layer if it has hydrophobic properties? Thank you.

Yes it hydrophobic… it’s a proprietary mixture I’ve developed Thanks for watching

@@fauxrock Got it. I guess there is no way to buy this mixture in Ukraine at the moment. Will have to try to come up with a diy mixture, haha. Anyway - thank you for your answer and your helpful videos.

I work at a zoo and am getting into faux rock and concrete sculpture. I hear you use acrylic sealers and such for waterproofing your work. Do you have any recommendations for waterproofing my concrete work for pond or waterfall features after I paint (stain) it with acrylics? I'm looking for something that is completely non toxic after it dries or cures and is safe for fish and amphibians. Also clear so I am not covering up my paint and textures.

I have a travertine tile floor and would like to go away from the beige/rustic textured old "look like" and modernize it to the today's colors like whites. I'm an experienced hardwood floor guy and stain and finish is my job. I have sanding equipment and commercial buffing/sanding equipment. Before removing the tiles (major job, large quantity) would like to try to sand with the 17" buffer and sand papers (most grits are available start with rough, probably 40's and finish to 100-120 grits maybe finer). I want to aim for whites... I've done white floors (bleach, stain, 3 coats finish) Could this be double in your opinion?

Yes, that is very much possible to do and then you’d want to seal it after staining it to the color of your choice. I generally use 100% acrylic sealer carried in as Eileen based solvent. Thanks for watching my video.

@@fauxrock I'm not familiar with Eileen products, however I've scrubbed/steamed clean this floor before, applied a grout skim coat to get the overall color consistent than sealed the floor. Lasted a while then got dirty by washing. I could send you a few pictures to get the idea... I'm trying to move away from rustic to more modern

Good info, thanks! 🙂👍 I want to do something interesting to our floors. We are planning to do our kitchen and bathrooms out of concrete and the living room and bedroom will be earthen floor.
