This, along with Hotchkis anti-roll bars, were a couple of the early mods that I did to my Z. I'm looking to go with the Akebono two-piece aluminum rotor hats for my brakes when I need to have a brake job done.

Did u have any issues when turning the wheel all the way to either side, since the lines look to be routed in a way that added alot of bends and they might not be able to move enough for the wheel to turn without pulling on them hard.
@thecarizon5046 жыл бұрын
I haven't noticed an issue yet. Next time I take the wheel off I will inspect for damage. The lines are equal length and run the same path so they should realize the same stresses, if any, placed on the stock hoses.

please post an update video on how they are holding up. Thanks.

@@thecarizon504 have you had a chance to pull the wheel off and check for rubs? Lots of people have had rubbing issues with these Z1 lines, but maybe they didn't route them the same way the OEM line is like you routed them. I bought the Z1 upgrade kit a few weeks ago, I've installed the pads and rotors but have been nervous about the lines and fluid for the reason of the rubbing issue.
@thecarizon5043 жыл бұрын
@@roundearthshill248 i had no rubbing issues but I also zip tied it in such a way that it doesn't rub on the control arms or strut.

Thanks, doing a big brake kit and needed an idea how to route the lines. Used the same path, but turned the front wheels left and right to get a visual for adjusting the slack...

Did you torque the banjo bolts to 12lbs?
@thecarizon5044 жыл бұрын
Not quite just did it to roughly the same tightness as when I pulled them off.

Has anyone gotten updates on if Z1 has replaced these chinesium bolts they tend to send people?

They are not great... to put it politely.

Just put these on today. Not to confident on the fronts. How have yours held up
@thecarizon5045 жыл бұрын
Yeah, the fronts are tricky to route, mine began to rub. I reangled the brackets, used a couple of zipties to control its positioning a bit better, and wrapped the high risk areas in electrical tape until I can come up with a better solution.
@roninmantis75844 жыл бұрын
Enjoy your videos, but you should probably wear rubber gloves when playing with brake fluid. I would also like to see how your front brake routing job works after it's been on the road for a while. Routing is always a concern when changing the original design.
@thecarizon5044 жыл бұрын
Agreed, rubber gloves are recommended. I have been bad about this when handling fluids and mean to change that habit. I will have to do an update on the ss lines after I have had them on for a while.

No zip ties required. You routed them incorrectly.
