I was thinking of installing a larger radiator with an internal oil to water intercooler as an alternative to an external oil to air cooler. Do you think this would be a good idea?

@javierasalde17072 жыл бұрын
I'm also quite unsure why this is happening. I revised the installation for the 3rd time. Besides adding seperator clamps to the lines to avoid less contact and bents on the hoses. The instalation is very similar to your set up and according to z1 instalation instructions. Do you know if this system can potentially make any type of noise?

Never put thread sealant on AN fittings!!! It uses the taper to seal, not the threads themselves. Please do not advise the use of any sealant on any AN fittings.

Dude, im so glad i found your channel! What a great descriptive video on this install. I'm currently planning on doing this in about a week and this video calmed my nerves drastically lol. If i could make one recommendation though, i couldn't tell for sure but it looked like your useing conventional oil? If so trust me and do yourself a huge favor and switch to Mobil 1 Extended Protection. This one has the highest rating for heat. My oil temps got better just by doing this and not having an oil cooler. But if i read it wrong and that Castrol is synthetic then nevermind lol but if not its TOTALLY WORTH IT! Tganks again for making a great video👍 I'm definitely subscribing to your channel. 😁

So what do u have to do when you change the oil or do u leave 1 quart of old oil in the cooler I think I'd only let that slide for two oil changes max then what?
@thecarizon5045 жыл бұрын
If you want to properly change it then you'd have to disconnect the oil cooler and poor it out. I just do the oil change normally, this gets 80% of the oil out, and dilutes the rest of the old oil. You could also, drive it for several miles and then do a second oil change, that would get out 96% of it which is as good as you can really do.
@fatherchop57965 жыл бұрын
R u able to just remove the lower panel and reach up in there disconnect and take it out?without removing the bumper two oil changes are not cheap I get my oil changes done at the dealer just for documentation and that's like walking on hot lova with them morons
@thecarizon5045 жыл бұрын
@@fatherchop5796 lol, yeah I've straight up stopped taking my car to the dealership. I've been stung too many times by shoddy service and over pricing. You won't be able to service it without taking off the front bumper. You might be able to disconnect both of the oil cooler lines to the sandwhich plate, and use a pump to force the oil out of the cooler... but you'd be on your own for that onr.
@javierasalde17072 жыл бұрын
Did your Oil cooler start to make a whining noise after the installation? I had followed all the procedures plus I used your vid to double check the steps involved. I made sure there's was no leaks.
