Love these kettles. I have two... a 50L with two elements and a 12L for stove-top brews. Just waiting for your HERMS kettles to come back in stock!

Brilliant video, thank you! At the moment I'm using a ice cooler mash tun. I would like in the future to use a stainless pot so I can have a more stable or stepped mash temp. Whats the most economical way of achieving this please? Can I just ad an element to a 50 ltr pot and recirculate?

For the purposes of a mash tun I wouldn’t use with an element except if you are using it as a brew in the bag system with a pump recirculating the wort. Otherwise you will get hot spots, scorched element, etc. you can use on an induction hob at a very low level to maintain temp

@themaltmiller8438 so the little herms kettle is a better choice?

Can I use a 25L kettle for a 23L brew in the bag batch? I suppose you need extra water in there for boil off

25l is a push for that batch size if you’re planning to have the full volume of liquor in with the grain. You’ll displace about 1l of liquid for each kg of grain you add, for that batch size a 35l pot is perfect though, and not much of a step up in price

Can you heat that current setting on a gas stove? Can that valve handle the heat?
@themaltmiller8438Ай бұрын
Yes, they are designed so they can be used on gas or an induction hob

Can you get them without any holes?
