Omg, I need the CIP in my life!! Probably sergeant sparge head too!
@ianjones684920 күн бұрын
Awesome! I guess you could use it on the Brewtools B40 by attaching a small hose to the dip tube inside the kettle then attach the other end of the tube via the barb on CIP assembly....great stuff. I have bought the enzybrew 10 cleaner from you and its brilliant!
@markpope6162Ай бұрын
The CIP head is brilliant. I use it with a keg cleaner to CIP my Grainfather fermenter. Works a treat! I think the CIP head deserves a promotion. Captain or even Colonel CIP!

Couldn't get my Corporal CIP to work at first (it kept twisted round), glad I then watched this video as working ok now. Think I had the flow on too high and hadn't shaped the arm very well.

Great video guys. Will definitely invest in one. I recently listened to Rakey on the pod with the Hop Addition and he mentioned the video with track and advanced hop products. I can't seem to find it? Have you a link? Cheers

Any thoughts on how you would use sergeant sparge head for the G40?
@themaltmiller8438Ай бұрын
The most likely solution would be to use a Flexi Arm for the sparge head, to keep it in place over the G40 grain basket
@WarmHugFermentations12 күн бұрын
Any advice on using the Sargeant Sparge Head with a G40, as the lids don't have holes in them? It'd be nice to have a sparge manifold for the G40, like they have for the Brew Tools.
@themaltmiller843810 күн бұрын
Hey! We've been thinking about this our side too and whilst you cant use the lid like you with with G30, you could use one of the Flexi-Arm's and fit it to your sparge heater. Position this over the grain basket with the sparge head attached and then open the valve, this will hold it in place over the grain bed and as the sides are quite high you wont get sparge water exiting above the grain basket as it also direct s the water in a way that it is facing down

Aye, I purchased both sizes of the Flexi arms for just such an occasion 🎉 Thanks for getting back to me.
@neilholder6337Ай бұрын
I've been looking at getting the CIP for my G30 for a while, but always assumed I'd need to the flexi-arm! I'll be adding one to my next order! If I do want to use the flexi-arm on the G30, (say for cleaning a fermenter) does the thread on the arm already match with the one on the G30? Another great video, my only suggestion would be, for cleaning videos such as these, it'd be great to see side-by-side, before and after comparisons. Thanks.
@themaltmiller8438Ай бұрын
Hey! We tried the flexi-arm on the G30 thread and it doesn't match sadly, the one on the G30 is tapered/to course. Whilst it's a half inch BSP size, the threads don't match up. There might be some way of adapting that but not that we have seen - yet!

OMG...another cheque book Sunday. Will certainly use Corporal CIP on my Grainfather G30. Now to work out how to adapt to work on a BrewTools Pro 80. Any thoughts? The Sparge head looks a great piece that I will be able to use across the different types of fermenters I have . Keep up the good work chaps!
@themaltmiller8438Ай бұрын
🤣 - Sorry!! - What about a very short piece of silicone tubing pushed onto the centre pipe of there B80 and then use the included barb fitting on the CIP unit to attached? Our thicker silicone tubing is perfect for it as its more rigid
@martinhudson599Ай бұрын
@@themaltmiller8438 There’s me thinking it would be far more complex😜😜
@themaltmiller8438Ай бұрын
I'm sure there will be other more complex solutions but this seems the simplest option - let us know how you get on!
@martinhudson599Ай бұрын
@@themaltmiller8438 Sorted. I intend to use the 1/2' BSP male to barb from the Keg King Cleaning Kit with a very short length of tube so the is no bend from the tip of centre tube and then connect to the flexi arm.

I use the cip with my Brewzilla and it works well. I've just got Enzybrew 10 - what concentration were you using?
@themaltmiller8438Ай бұрын
For CIP we use 1 to 2% (10g to 20g per Ltr)

Anybody got a cunning way of attaching the Sergeant Sparge Head to the Grainfather sparge water heater which has the plastic tap? They mentioned converting a GF Sparge heater but not sure if that's the same model (and if so, how)?!
@themaltmiller8438Ай бұрын
Yep - two options - firstly the conversion we have done is to fit a ball valve tap to the heater by punching a hole in the side on the same level as the current tap or as Stiff has at home, just pushing a length of silicone onto the tap itself. He then has this feeding a small pump which then exits via another length of silicone to a ball valve tap mounted on the wall up high. If you want some photos then drop us an email to hello@themaltmiller.co.uk
@reavermanАй бұрын
Cool gear, but I think it would have been better to feed the flexi arm up through the conical port and not through the top!
@themaltmiller8438Ай бұрын
Good idea, we will have a play with that option but it might effect the spinning effect
@adrianreed5464Ай бұрын
Got both of these, the cip is great bit the seargent sparge always gets blocked so has never worked.
@themaltmiller8438Ай бұрын
Is that for transferring wort? I can see how it might get blocked in that situation - we had the hop filter plate in the G30 for this brew, which makes a big difference in how much matter is in the transferred wort
@adrianreed5464Ай бұрын
It was when mashing i found it got blocked by small grain particles. Using on a Brewzilla Gen 4. I have used it a few time when transferring wort to the fermenter and it's worked really well a few times but got blocked a few times too!
@themaltmiller8438Ай бұрын
Ah ok, there's always different opinions on this one but for us we wouldn't use it for re-circulating due to hot side oxidation of wort and colour change
@neilharper4857Ай бұрын
