New cat owner here. I looked at stainless litter boxes as most sanitary option. Our adoptee is 20 pounds but 5 years old so able to deal with higher sides. So far he’s doing well with our plastic boxes (2) that we scoop after every use, which might just be new owner diligence. We might consider these if we have odor issues, which I foresee with the eventual scratches in the plastic. Thank you for the honest review!

ANOTHER SUPER FABULOUS & PAWESOME product review video, Jenny honey! They seem like TERRIFIC litter boxes. I just wish the sides were higher as Miss PSB really lurves to fling that litter around. Lurve the fact that they will last such a long time and not need to be replaced like the plastic ones.... Great job!!! :)

I have one of these litter boxes . There great . I use the pine pellets 2-3 inches of it gives the cats more room and makes it easier to clean

hi, i'd like to transition my cats to pellets and steel. Do you use a sieve? In hindsight, a SS sieve with plastic tray would be ideal. Would love to hear how you do it

@@Floppycats thanks. i found some SS catering pans (1/2 the price of cat ones) and i'm going to do exactly this! i can get already perforated ones (for steaming) but I think the holes are too big for the pellets. So i'm going to drill them myself. SS makes so much sense. so much more hygienic in my opinion.

Love the stainless steel litter boxes. To get any staining off I use hot water and green Scotch-Brite rubbing in the direction of the grain. I pre-cut each whole Scotch-Brite into 6 pieces so I can throw it away after a cleaning.

Gurl.. if I had 2 boxes for every cat, I'd have no furniture 😂 Fr tho! We'd have 28 boxes! I just scoop my 6 three times a day. All I can do 🤷🏻‍♀️ Thinking of ONE litter robot for the kitties who are extremely finicky and won't use it if it has a marble sized piece in it 😉

@@dougprentice1363 Yes that's what they recommend. We actually have 7 boxes now. We have 16 (maybe 17 if we can get our cats to accept one from a colony we care for that's getting bullied 🥺) That's what I was talking about tho, how we would have nothing but litter boxes in our home if we had one box per cat plus one 🤣 So I just scoop morning, afternoon and evening ✌🏻

Awesome I am glad you like them. I was particularly interested in the iPrimio stainless steel box because of the higher sides for the reasons you mentioned. Lucky for me someone brought to many and decided to sale them on FB marketplace for half the price so i got two with the enclosure and mats. Thanks for your awesome reviews!

My family was thinking of getting a metal litter box or a stainless steel one, my question is, would the litter box get rusted when the cats use it over time?

Thanks for all your wonderful reviews. I’m a fan. I have 2 Ragdolls that are under a year old. Love them so much! We have 3 cats total and 4 litter boxes. They all have lids. Have you reviewed any with lids? The kitties got used to them right away.

No, I try not to support hooded litter boxes or litter boxes with lids. it's usually the number one reason why cats start eliminating inappropriately. Great product review. This is not high enough for one of my cats. Could be higher and with a lid. I noticed when you put the Litter Box litter in the litter box there was no dust. I have been trying to find a dust free litter. How long does it last before you have to change it?

yes, higher would be great - i personally am not a fan of lids - mostly because i don't like smelling feces and urine in an enclosed area - like when you have to use a porta-potty - and lids/hoods lead to many cats who eliminate inappropriately. we reviewed the litterbox.com litter here - kzbin.info/www/bejne/ppCqcqZpj7mGedk - how long it lasts is subjective - depends on what your cats eat, how old they are, if they have medical conditions like diabetes or kidney disease where they pee more often - so it will vary household to household.

I use the wood chip pallets it would be good if they made stainless steel ones for this type of litter. As you need the sifting tray at the top. Stainless is more hygienic 😻

Oh please. I have always cleaned our litter boxes in the exact same manner. I used to wear gloves, but it's honestly unnecessary. I go straight in, bare handed. Soap exists for a reason. 😅 And the people calling out little things like that are the same people who don't properly clean and disinfect their litter boxes for their cats lol.

new subscriber, glad to have found you!I wash out my extra large plastic litter boxes in the tub once a month and couldn’t imagine not fully immersing them to clean...I’m assuming I can wash and dry these stainless steel pans? their nails won’t scratch them? I too use covid for cleaning my hands and objects but rubbing alcohol is harmful to cats... I looked it up since covid

Yes. You can wash and dry. I don’t think spraying the litterboxes down with rubbing alcohol and then wiping them down with a wet cloth would be harmful. You could fully submerge them in your bathtub like you do your plastic ones. They got some scratches but nothing that when through the metal.

Hi! Is it easy to take the pee stones out of this stainless box? I mean, with plastic ones I tilt the box and the pee stones remains attached so I can isolate them and take them out easly. So with this stainless box do the pee stones remain in the bottom when I tilt the box? Hope I have explained correctly, english is not my mother language.

In my experience, yes, the pee clumps will stick to the bottom. But it just depends on size of pee and level of litter if they stick. Diet and litter type matters too.

I wish that NVR Miss made a stainless steel version with 14"-16" tall walls for big boys that vertical pee. The height of them isn't enough for my guys and when there's a crack for the add on for extra height like they have now can possibly collect pee and smell. I think more height and all steel would be so ideal.
