I'm surprised how big the stairlift motor is as well. I thought it would be quite a small motor just geared down like a cordless drill. It says it's 140 watts at 24 volts, so it is probably well below its limits.

HAHAHA! The polymer tracks and worm gear had white lithium grease all over them! Harmar's SL300/600 a.k.a. "Pinnacle" has been advertised for over 10 years as a GREASE FREE worm gear design! Taking the Chassis off the bottom of the rail was hilarious! Like looking at a cow and thinking it could fit between the eye of the needle! LOL Surprised how big the motor is? An industrial grade that has a weight capacity of 350lbs climbing upward angles ranging from 30-45 degrees.? I guess folks today expect something like that to be the size of cell phone. Great video to help with understanding stair lifts are ASME registered elevators and should be handled carefully.

The round device shown at the *_7:25_**_ point in the video_* with the two black wires coming out of it that's attached to the shaft end of the motor is a friction brake. I need one if you still have it I would be interested in buying it.

Here's an example of an old arthritic lady having to disassemble a handicare freecurve myself. No one to help. It needed a battery the co referred me to someone who sent a guy that broke it it sat sitting at bottom of stairs cant get it up to ride off. No one will take responsibility. Someone said they wanted for junk quit after removing stair screws so decided to take apart peace by peace myself. Wish me luck especially since I don't have proper tools. Cut off screws going into concrete so far, now slowly going to work on chair. 🤞🤞🤞

We have an AmeriGlide rave2 which was installed in a stairwell too narrow. My wife needs about 7" more clearance for her knees. If I can get the stairlift to run with the chair turned 90 degrees to the left, then she can use it. Unfortunately a safety switch stops this from happening. Has anyone ever figured out how to allow the lift to work with the chair turned 90 degrees? If we can't figure it out,, we'll have to remove the lift.

Hi! Can you tell me the exact model of this Stair Lift? I would be more than grateful as I have to make my own stair lift and need dimensions so if I know the model I can try finding them online. If you have the dimensions then it will be really helpful too. Best Regards.

I just installed one almost identical to this one this weekend and the power swivel is actually optional. Most models just have a mechanical release lever and you use your feet or body momentum to turn. There’s a 45° latch point half way as well.

Nah the batteries are probably dead. Those things can lift over 400 pounds with a full charge! Get one of those lifepo4 battery packs, and replace the lead acid batteries with them. Also try lubricating the track with graphite

You should have removed it from the top. Lesson # 1 it comes out the same way it goes in. Read the installation instructions first. ( why did Moses and the Israelites lost in the wilderness for 40 years ? Even Back then men were too proud to ask for directions)

Hey can you show where the power cord connects. I cannot figure it out
@runed0s86
@runed0s86 Жыл бұрын
Power connects to the rail that the motor is supposed to ride on. there are metal strips on each side. There are contacts near the motor that are supposed to have constant contact with the rail to charge the batteries.
